Went by myself and was treated to a really nice meal and good conversation. I ate at the bar and they made a special (vegan) meal for me. food was really good and done perfectly.

The food was great, I had the special appetizer and the special sole fish and it was great. I don;t know about the expense (someone else paid), but I don't think it was cheap.

Friends had recommended this place and we found ourselves a gem. Reservations are probably a must. We each had a cocktail and a glass of wine. My wife had spinach and egg soup, scampi with broccoli rabe. I had manicotti and saved space for ricotta cheese cake.. We were both delighted with our meal. Eating out in Manhattan is not... More

We felt we won the lottery when we stumbled upon this wonderful and intimate Italian restaurant. The service? The waitstaff is very attentive and proudly describes the offerings. The Food? Authentic Italian dishes made with the freshest of ingredients. Don't miss it.

An excellent evening, with great food and wine. The restaurant is extremely popular and very busy. Specials cost much much more than what is on the menucard - be careful and remember to ask for price.

This is a first class restaurant on a dirty street in Manhattan (Mayor please note...). The service was excellent, the food first class. the Minestrone soup was unique - obviously with fresh ingredients, not like the usual canned variety. The chicken scarparelli was delectable. My only complaint is that the potatoes and carrots on the plate were tiny and should... More

We read all the reviews about food and service. We have no complaints about either. Our issue is with the undisclosed pricing of their specials. My husband ordered a dover sole special that ended up being 70 dollars. The dover sole on the menu was around 30 dollars. The waiter did not point this out when listing verbally the specials.... Ambiance, service, menu and food, all top notch. Even a comfy little bar that makes a great Manhattan. Caesar salad prepared table side was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

I visited Il Tinello for the first time with my wife and teenage daughter. New York has many great Italian restaurants but the food at Il Tinello has to make it one of the best. The spinach infused ravioli was beyond wonderful and the dover sole and chicken picata were excellent. Salads and dessert were great. Service was not on... More

Since discovering this wonderful restaurant about ten years ago we return every year on our visit to New York City. The service alone is worth a visit. Food is always superb. Dining here is always an amazing experience.
