Great service. Attentive to every detail. I had the minestrone soup and red snapper. Both were excellent. My chocolate cake with brandy and espresso were delicious. My old fashioned and chardonnay wine were excellent. My family had an excellent time.

Wonderful experience, wine menu is a picture album with actual labels of available bottles, Caesar salad made authentically at your table, top notch service all the way around! Too many details to list with correct grammar, my brain gets so excited it wants to spit it all lout at once. If you yearn for classic white tablecloth service in an... More

I'm so happy that we stumbled upon this place. It is definitely a throwback to the old school Italian restaurants that once flooded New York City. Unfortunately too many of those old school places are gone & have been replaced with big corporate chain restaurants. Anyway, my wife & I could not have been happier after leaving Il Tinello. We... This intimate northern Italian restaurant is truly outstanding. The food is excellent, the service by the entire staff is exquisite and the quiet ambience is perfect for a quiet meal where you can actually hear your dining companion(s). Not inexpensive so use it for special occasions or expense account meals.

What a dinner! Was so impressed by the service and the AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine. It's so rare nowadays to get good tasting, old-fashioned Italian food, but Il Tinello does it right.

Having lived in the city in the 80's, I love to come back and have a classic Italian meal in an upscale family owned restaurant. I just love these Italian restaurants with white tablecloths, flowers on the table, great wine list and superb service. Il Tinello is such a place. The food was not just classic Italian but also some... More

I like to go to restaurants more than once to make sure the food meets my expectations. I went last week with my husband for the second time and the food and service was just as good as first time. The seafood salad was delicious so the fish stew. The place is beautiful, so we are definitely coming back and... More

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner. When we entered We were graciously greeted by the door. That's not something one always finds at NYC restaurants. Once we were seated it all just got better. I had the Caesar salad and my husband had clams casino. My salad was so fresh and the dressing was delicious. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
