I can add the Skylight Diner to my list of "lucked up on this one" restaurants in NYC. We were headed to the Highline Park/Walkway and were looking for someplace with a good variety. This was the perfect place. The food was excellent. The portions were large and the coffee was great. There were three of us and we ordered... More

Was disappointed with the tick tock diner so decided to make our way the 2 blocks from the New yorker hotel to this diner. Was so much happier with the food and service. Also not as busy. Great Option

We visited here on a couple of occasions on our five night stay. We stumbled upon it by accident on our first morning and had an excellent breakfast at a very reasonable price. The service was very good. Our second visit was not up to the same standard as our first visit. We waited to be served and people that... More

I can't get a breakfast like this at home nevermind in the heart of NYC. Went here two successive days while in NY. Breakfast was great, service was good. Don't bother going anywhere else if you're near this diner.

This is spotlessly clean diner frequented by local people and NYPD's finest. A classic American diner, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh and tasty, the portions are very generous, entrées come complete with a salad starter and balsamic house dressing. Worth a visit just make sure you leave room for a slice of apple pie

Stopped here after the Auto Show at the Javits. Quickly seated. Quickly ate. Quickly paid and out the door. It was good efficient food. Lots of regular locals so you know it has to be decent food. This was very good and inexpensive diner food.

This place is on open 24 hours a day and looks like it's always busy. We had breakfast here on our way to HighLine. Freshly squeezed orange juice was a nice touch first off. We had eggs, sausage, bacon and toast. All round good quality food and super fast service. A great experience if you want to visit a real... More

...you should definitely go there. I had the best blueberry pancakes! The waitress seemed a little harsh but I guess she was just stressed out by 6 Germans of whom only 2 could talk to her :) anyway great place. I'll certainly be back when I'm in town.

My wife had the minestroni soup (good) and a grilled cheese sandwich. I had the gyro sandwich. It came open faced on pita with 4-5 slices of fair quality meat, and the regular Greek sauce. It also came with a good amount of French fries and a Greek salad (could have been fresher as some of the lettuce was wilted).... More
