Great diner in NYC!

Stopped here on our way to the high line. Delicious egg sandwiches and great prices. Cheaper than I expected in the city. Definitely worth a stop. I live on long island, basically the land of diners, and this didn't disappoint!

Okay to be honest I did a little research on TA, I knew our family of 6 would be in NY and I was not looking to drop $$$s of dollars for dinner. We also wanted a "local" experience and that is what we got.....a Friday night at 8pm, no wait but got busy quickly. I had a fabulous Greek... More

This is a great stop for a good breakfast. It is a classic NY diner, but the food is actually really good. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very clean. They do offer larger tables for groups and have an exhaustive menu to please any palate.

We went here for last lunch and picked for lighter bites I had ruby Reuben which was amazing and couldn't eat the fries as so full and my husband had meatballs on a hero which he says really good, with a couple of beers including tip came to approx 45 dollars, brilliant service and value. The waiting staff were so... More

Been to NY a few times and gone to a number of diners. This one has to be the best value and quality of food. Totally traditional diner experience. Would recommend- you get exactly what you should from a diner

Man, I've really missed East Coast diners. The seasoned staff. The solid food at great prices. Chatting with locals at the breakfast counter. This really hit the spot. I went to this diner the first day on a business trip and went back every day for breakfast. Almost all of the breakfast specials come with fresh juice and coffee, and... More

I got here with my cousin and we weren't ready to order so our waiter let us talk for a while and didn't rush us though the place got crowded. Anyway. I ordered the deluxe salad platter which had a nice scoop of chicken salad (lots of chicken, not much mayo- very good), great cole slaw, ok potato salad (too... More

Went to the Skylight Diner for dinner. Good food, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Service was quick, the place was clean. On the whole, a good experience.

It looks like this diner will become our traditional pre-Comic Con breakfast stop. This diner has traditional diner food, and the breakfast we've had here is very good. The portions are reasonable and filling at prices comparable to other diners. The location is pretty good - not too far from Madison Square Garden. Service has been fine when we were... More
