Retro 1960s/1970s vibe from decor -- food very good!

You walk down a wide spiral staircase into a lounge area reminiscent of the entrance lounge to the QE2, once down greeted by framed Matisse prints -- and in the main dining room a huge Leger stained glass wall. Very chic. A quiet restaurant for lunch with nice discreet service and very good food... read more

From start to finish the appetizers, entrées, and desserts are amazing! The wine list is great. There's a lot of choices on the menu. The service is the best I've ever seen. I'll give this restaurant 5 stars

We have eaten at this restaurant at least 10 times in the last 18 months. We have come at different hours , for brunch, lunch & dinner.... They have yet to disappoint us! The facility is very pretty without being gaudy.. The staff are all knowledgable about the menus and seem to know when to approach your table to take... More

This was one of the best restaurants I have eaten in while traveling to NYC. The location is central to almost everything - and the room is absolutely elegant. High end, comfortable and spacious, with lots of privacy. The tables are spaced far apart and the booths allow for quiet conversation. Very romantic, but I could also see people having... More

Amazing experience! I was afraid that the service and food will be hindered because it was French restaurant week but it surpassed my expectations. Our waitress Moldir was amazing and kept coming back to refill our wine glasses and water. We had their brand of white wine which was nice and smooth. Food was really good with a few dishes... More

We got to this huge place which was completely empty - very strange for a restaurant in New York City. Right at that point we should have decided to leave, but we were so hungry that we decided to give this place a try. The elderly waiter was very nice, but tried to impose what we had to order. The... We had not been to this restaurant for years because of a bad personnel experience. But we wanted to host two very good friends and I spotted it again and decided to try. Of course the 1$ oysters at the bar were a big enticement. I made a dinner reservation in the restaurant but prefaced it in the lounge. We... More

You may not find it so ease but just look for the big address in front. the entrance in down a spiraling stair case to a well laid out area with a bar and tables allowing enough space to hear your self and your guests talking .. important to me. Very nice Sunday brunch

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
