Had the company Holiday party here and never knew the restaurant existed. You enter on 57th and head down a winding stairway. Restaurant has a real nice feel and layout. Wait staff were super attentive and always kept my drink glass full. Food made in bulk sometimes misses the mark, but it was spot on. Chicken was super moist and... More

We decided to spend Thanksgiving day in NYC. We wanted a traditional thanksgiving dinner, so we found Brasserie 8 1/2 on OpenTable. Before dinner, we had drinks (apple spice margarita and the elderflower flute). The dinner was great, service was very quick without being rushed and the ambience was trendy. Everything we had was great, the turkey, crab cake, sweet... More

Like all buffet brunches, some things were better than others. But this restaurant had a lot of choices, in a very nice space, and was a very worthwhile brunch. Remember no mimosa's till noon or 1. It's a bit pricey, but it's Manhattan so not unexpected

Remember : no Mimosas in NYC until after 1PM! Other than that, a nice brunch. Many choices - all good, none unusual or spectacular, but all very good. Nice restaurant: high ceilings, uncrowned, bright. A good choice for brunch.

The owner of this building has taken great personal pride in his restaurant but doesn't go out of his way to advertise or publicize it. Nevertheless, its architecture is perfect, location prime, and food outstanding. Quiet, classy, just the sort of experience New Yorker or a tourist seeks. And not so hard to get a reservation.

I had a late breakfast here last week. The coffee was very good and kept coming. The OJ was fresh and cold and the eggs Benedict were unusual and delicious. Instead of using an English Mufin the eggs and ham were served atop a croissant. The hollandaise was creamy and lemony and the corinichons were a pleasant surprise. My wife... More

This is an awesome--and dare I say perfect-- place for a business lunch. The place is quiet, the food is good, and they don't hassle you for staying forever for a business lunch. I recently had a meeting there that started at 11:30, when they opened, and didn't end until 4:00 pm when they started dimming the lights to get... More

Brunch with my wife and her college friends. We had 6 at our table. Always felt taken care of, never rushed. It's a great space in he first floor and bottom of a tall city building with curved glass front. Easy parking and access. Plenty of tables. One of the only Buffet brunches in midtown. Reasonably priced for the selection.... More
