While I thought the menu was a bit limited, and I only had a salad, the food was better than average. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. I was there for lunch and suspect that the evening menu is more extensive. The venue is large and open.....lots of room between tables so there is an opportunity for private conversations.

Revisited this restaurant for Sunday Brunch which we had enjoyed on a previous visit to New York. Nothing had changed-the restaurant is open and spacious and the brunch menu provides everything you could possibly want for a long relaxing brunch. At $32 per head, served in such surroundings, this is an absolute bargain-by far the best value we found on this... More

Great experience. Atmosphere was nice. Service was elegant. Food variety and quality was great. Save room for desserts - outstanding. We ended our vacation with the Sunday brunch / buffet and it was great. NYC is not inexpensive and this was worth the money.

We are always looking for a place where we can talk quietly at dinner on a Saturday night, and had overlooked this place though we love the brunch. Everything we ate was delicious (salmon, duck), the service was impeccable, and there was even an amuse bouche (which in a restaurant with a $38 prix fixe is unheard of.) The decor... More

8 1/2 is always a go-to restaurant to take our friends when we travel up here. The hospitality is on point with any expectation you'd have for a NYC restaurant, especially when paying $$$. The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful. They also offer a variety of French cuisine on the prix fixe menu! We always keep Brasserie... More

We went last night after having skipped it for approximately two years. This is a great venue with a lot of potential. I remembered loving the food here. It was not as good as I remembered. The quality was still good but the tast was a level or two down. We ordered the same items off the menu, the beef,... More

Enjoyed the elaborate Easter brunch they served. Many special items featured: carving stations, seafood. Really enjoyed. Unfortunately due to NY law we could not enjoy our brunch with mimosas (never would have guessed that in NYC). Great food and service!

Great spot for a business lunch, tables widely spaced and not noisy so can have a private conversation and not have to shout. Very fun, 60'ish décor, nice vibe. Food very good, service excellent and the prix fixe lunch is an excellent value. I was very pleasantly surprised and be back there again soon!

We had a sunday brunch here with my sister. The food is good, really nice selection of different types indeed. The service was mainly nice but the crepperie station staff was a disaster. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
