Heaven is in the horchata

Asiate is not for a casual dinner - it sgoukd be reserved for wonderful, special occasions - a uoung man might use the very private room we sat in to propose. The staff were a great team with superb attention to detail and warm hospitality. Courses were timed well and plated with great attention to detail. Event when just ordering a glass of wine, the bottle was bought to the table which was a treat for a wine buff. View was awesome and a great accompaniment to the delicious meal. We... More

My husband took me to Asiate for a lovely lunch while vising NYC. The view was stunning. It was truly hard to have a difficult table. The salads were lovely as was the wine selection. The homemade breads were fabulous. I would suggest that everyone should experience this beautiful hotel and restaurant when visiting.

After a play at Lincoln Center, I took my wife and 13 year old son here on Mother's Day. I had requested a table at the window but was frostily rebuffed with the indifferent observation that those tables were reserved for hotel guests. Service continued to be slow and charmless. The magical view over the park , which reminded me... More

As guests of the hotel, we were seated by the window and appreciated the view and courtesy. Snobs that we are, we ordered the tasting menu so the kitchen could show off. The first three courses were great seafood dishes served in quick succession. Then it got ugly. After about 30 minutes we got up and approached the Captain (no... More

Went to this restaurant following a recommendation. Was very disappointed. We were stuck in a corner where there were only three tables and it felt like we were in a cupboard with a window. Below average service. Had to ask to have our wine glasses refilled, which is not good in this standard of restaurant. Food was ok. Worse Soufflé... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
