Went to this restaurant following a recommendation. Was very disappointed. We were stuck in a corner where there were only three tables and it felt like we were in a cupboard with a window. Below average service. Had to ask to have our wine glasses refilled, which is not good in this standard of restaurant. Food was ok. Worse Soufflé... More

Had the breakfast sets. Good variety and nicely done. The views were amazing - you could see Central Park from above. Get a table next to the ceiling-to-floor windows.

This is a top notch restaurant. Everything is as good as it has to be for the cost. The absolute best is the view. You have to ask for a window view. If you do not have a window view it is not worth paying the price.

Went to Asiate for dinner on a weekday - the restaurant was relatively busy for a Wednesday night. Service was friendly and waiters were informative about the menu. The menu features a 2 or 3-course dinner, as well as a tasting menu. Given we were not that hungry, we just had the main course - they were fine with this,... More

I contacted Asiate to plan my 50th birthday party for 20 people. I was told (after several attempts to contact them with no response) the party was too big for the private room so I would have to have 2 tables of 10 in the main diningroom......BUT they couldn't accommodate a party that large arriving at once so the party... Food was good, the view is fantastic. But the sommelier was not very good we also left a 12% tip, when we left the restaurant the manager came running after us to ask us for a higher tip cause it was insufficient.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
