We took my wife for her 70th birthday. it was my daughter and son-inlaw and us two. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. My daughter lives in Manhattan and made the arrangement so I did not look up any info on Asiate. I was shocked when I opened the menu and saw the cost of the diner pre-fix. We... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed a "date nght" at Asiate. The food is quite good and the service is unobtrusive, but always there when you want it. What made the evening unforgettable was the beautiful sunset over Central Park. Ask for a table near the windows. Also, if you do not have time for a full-blown meal, the bar... More

One of the most fabulous lunch views in the world and amazing food and wonderfully attentive service. A very lovely blond hostess welcomed us warmly on arrival and it just got better and better and better. 3 courses for lunch for $35? You're mad if you miss out (and the lounge bar do an amazing Margerita.

Just took my wife to Asiate for her birthday and had a great meal in a wonderful setting. The restaurant is on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental hotel and the entire width of the room is a glass wall overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park South. The room itself is well designed and spacious. The food was excellent,... More

We live closeby and love going ourselves and taking guests. Food is great. Light but elegant with an Asian flavor. And of course the view of Central Park is an iconic NY view.

Amazing views, amazing food. Very good wine list. Service was very good if a little stiff and formal. I prefer a bit more interaction but that's probably the way they are told to act. Nonetheless, an excellent restaurant.

Went here quite a few months ago and was very impressed by the view but not necessarily the food. It was decent but not for the price. The wine list was extensive and relatively affordable if you scour it for a while. It seems like they have improved the food recently given the reviews. I will try it again and... More

Luckily we got here for an early lunch, because the place was empty and we got what is arguably the best table in the place -- right at the corner of two large windows looking out at the park. That's the highlight of this restaurant. The creative beverages, delicious food, and friendly service are huge bonuses. I declined to order... More
