once upon a time the best in town. It was, really, the best in town!!! But, I'm sorry, Bice is not what it used to when I was almost permanently in Manhattan!!!

I was meeting a friend for dinner the other night, and left the decision of where to go to her. She suggested "Bice", which surprised me because I had read that it had closed. We called, and found that it had reopened just the night before, in it's original NYC spot, with its original owner, so we decided to try... More

or for a quiet afternoon capuccino. Busy and excellent Italian restaurant. Business lunches or dinners - a little noisy inside but the front is a wonderful place to be in the summer.

I happened to be in NYC and had lunch on the day this place was closing to supposedly re-open under new mgmgnt/owner. I always enjoyed going to the bar first to chat with Heidi who was there for 20 years, a real assset to the rest. The original owners were friendly and the food was always authentic Italian. The rest... More

We booked for the gala dinner on New Year's Eve and had a splendid meal. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. We pre-booked from the UK by email and were given plenty of information about menus and choices. Splendid service.

We were in New York for my son's engagement so we had booked and received confirmation online for a celebratory meal and on arrival they were closed! Fortunately the restaurant next door was lovely!

Bice is simply good fun. Simple food - not on the same level as Cipriani - but very easy to eat accompanied by an easy to drink Chianti .selected from a small but diverse and inexpensive wine list Great Service - they've had much the same staff for manty years. And always a very warm welcome.

The service was awful. For New Year's Eve good food but they didn't let you enjoy it. Take the plates without asking, forget to serve some of us and wait for too long to bring them. They have served coffee to some of us, they have never brought to the others, because at 12:30 a.p they had already wipe out... More

I have been going to Bice once a year over the years. It definitely lost its luster. Starting as a trendy restaurant with food comparable to Harry Cipriani in the 80's, it lost its appeal. The food was average as well as the service. Pricing is the same; figure out a tab of $100 per person. Expensive now for what... More
