Tasty Curry!!

We fancied a curry and did some research on Indian restaurants in the Columbus Circle area - Sapphire India Cuisine came up well in the reviews and it wasn't to disappoint. The restaurant has a white tablecloth approach but is still very relaxed. The place is quite big but has quite a warm feel to... read more

This place has an excellent buffet on Saturdays between 12 and 2 and it was my lucky day to find it after work one Saturday. I have been coming here for a few years and the service is always excellent. As stated in my title, the mango lassi is the best I've had in New York and the food is... More

Hard to find a good Indian place in Midtown. Sapphire is average. Service is generally Okay. Lamb byriani is good. Order it spicy.

Amazing food, not the cheapest but excellent quality. We come from the UK and some people have mentioned the attitude of the staff but Indian gentlemen in the UK do tend to have an aloof attitude! Will definitely go there again before we leave :)

We were taken here by an Indian citizen who thought it would be a good place to show off Indian Cuisine. He was wrong as the food was only OK. Service was good and the setting was very impressive but it is really the food you are going for so the Sapphire only gets an "Average" rating from us for... More

Delicious, well prepared Indian food close to Lincoln Center. This is not your standard north Indian slop - the vegetables were very fresh, and prepared with subtle, nuanced spices. They will make the food as hot or as mild as you want, and even those who don't like "spicy" food will be pleasantly surprised. My sole complaint is the extra... More

We went with a family group after a performance at Lincoln Center. They had a big round table for us--always better than a long one for a group--and very comfortable chairs. Everything we ordered was delicious. I can particularly recommend the Lahsuni Gobi (fried cauliflower) and the lamb Jardaloo (Persian style with apricots), but nothing was bad, or even mediocre.... As soon as we reached there with our baby, they told that we don't have high chair. We were ok with that but as we entered, we were treated like a slave. The staff was very rude and it seems that they were doing some kind of favor by taking our order. We had to leave in middle of ordering... More

I ate here with a big group on business and the service was very good. It can be hard to deal with large tables, but they were great. We ordered just about everything on the menu and there wasn't anything I didn't like. I eat at lots of Indian restaurants and can be a bit picky about the food, too.... More
