Great Thai food

Been enjoying their food for 10 or 12 years.. Small place, friendly wait staff, marvelous food. Never had a bad bite. Try it you'll like it and return. The duck is fantastic.

Thai food at Topaz on a friday evening before a show at City Center. A Cozy, dimly lit restaurant that holds more guests than one would initially think since it looks rather small. Nice atmosphere, the food was great - we had all vegetarian dishes - mock duck, vegetarian curry and green tea ice cream for dessert. Two people shared... More

We stopped in for takeout yesterday. The restaurant was very clean and the gentleman that took our order was very nice and helpful. But most importantly the food was delicious! Everything was done perfectly, spiced the way we requested and beautifully presented. They sent chop sticks and plenty of napkins and condiments. My husband loved the mini spring rolls. So... More

We stumbled across this restaurant after trying to get into the burger joint next door and giving up after seeing the queue! It was busy but we didn't wait long for a table. The food did come out quickly, perhaps too quickly however! Would have been nicer to not have felt so rushed. It was delicious though and the staff... More

Half the items on the menu weren't available and that was on a Saturday afternoon. Food quality OK, nothing to shout about. Very ordinary service.

2nd time at this place and tried the bird's nest with chicken. It was such an interesting dish with the fried noodles shaped like a bird's nest. The sauce in the bottom soaked into the noodles and gave them a delicious flavor. My friend had the same with shrimp. She loved her dish as well. Not sure if the ownership... More

I would have gave it a minus star if I could! The service is terrible and the waiter was NASTY. There are hidden prices. We were charged $3 extra for rice that normally accompanies the dish Dancing Chicken. I use to come here years ago when I worked around the block. It use to be outstanding! I was wondering why... This was my first time eating Thai food, and I was very impressed! The food was great but there were also a decent amount of vegetarian options. The mock duck was very delicious and flavorful. The service was a little slow at the beginning to take our orders but otherwise everything was great!

When inside a good atmosphere, service and food. My Wife rarely compliments food, however this place she said it was delicious and so was mine. Please note my Wife is vegetarian, so she is used to being disappointed, but not here.

This used to be one of the best thai values in the city. No more, new owners, limited menue with upcharges for beef and shrimp. Higher prices, food is good but now its like dozens of others. Save your money. ! Look elsewhere.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
