Excellent food on the expensive side

I had tuna avocado carpaccio, chicken schnitzel, brussels sprouts and a glass of malbec. The food was excellent but $100 for it was excessive. Service is attentive and polite, which is a big plus for New York.

The restaurant is very big, very pretty and had good steaks. We did not have reservations on a Friday evening and were afraid we may be limited when looking for a place. This place had plenty of space inside and out. There was a live band playing on the other side of the room. Very nice.

This restaurant was conveniently located half way between Times Square and Central Park, close to our Hotel and the patio looked inviting, so we thought we would give it a try. It was wonderful. We had a Piano Singer live in the background playing some great R & B music, and that was accompanied by excellent service and fabulous meals,... More

The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant, we wanted somewhere a little more upscale to go with our 2 children on a family holiday to New York. Whilst obviously not a child-focused restaurant they were fabulous with our 2 even bringing them candy floss at the end of the meal! We had lobster and steak and it was all... More

This was 2 blocks from our hotel and we got right in at 9 pm. First of all, the piano player/singer was excellent and could have been using my playlist for his. Loved him! He was also set up far enough away from the dining room so we could still carry on a conversation. I ordered off the prix fixe... More

The Food was Awesome, had the Filet Mignon and Calamari to start, Sat Outside on a Beautiful Evening. Unfortunately, the Service wasn't great that evening, they were short staffed. They sure made it up to us, with the complimentary wine that kept flowing!! Will definitely eat there again!!!

I had lunch here yesterday. The Redeye Grill is right on 7th Avenue (with 57th Street) facing the Carnegie Hall. A nicely decorated restaurant - it is lovely on the inside and has an outside terrace where you can eat. I ate outside, watching life (on 7th Avenue) in New York go by. The food here is good. I had... More

Wanted to take a quick stroll for dinner tonight so walked up 52 over to 7 and over to 56 for some very nice seafood selections. I was alittle surprised that the restaurant was dead on a Thursday night but took advantage of that and got a great seat by the piano playing and singing duo performing... nice touch. I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
