I asked our hotel if they could recommend a restaurant for our last night in New York and also our wedding anniversary, and without hesitation the Redeye Grill was recommended by the hotel concierge, who phoned immediately and booked us in. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted, and shown to our table with the choice of either outside or inside.... More

This was my second visit to Redeye Grill and will always be my go-to restaurant when I visit NYC. I flew in to New York from Texas for my birthday and this was the perfect choice for dinner. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by all of the friendly staff. I decided since I was alone... More

As a child, my parents forced us to eat all our veggies and that included brussel spouts - yuck! But wait until you taste them at Redeye - OMG. I ask for bacon to be added to them to reduce the healthy factor. I also love their steaks. The service is great and the restaurant is not crowded with furniture... More

It was a last minute decision to go to the Redeye Grill, but a very wise decision. The service was excellent, the wait staff extremely friendly, and the food was reasonably priced for New York and excellent. I had the lobster mac and cheese followed by a chocolate volcano type desert and both were excellent. Sorry I didn't go there... More

We found Redeye Grill rather by accident during a "girls do Manhattan" trip. Excellent meals each of the three times we returned! The Trout Amandine was one of the best I've had. Thank you Gina, Alex, and Brittany for making our trip to NYC so memorable.

Braised ribs were awesome! Tender and delicious. Prime Steak w/frites was horrible! Steak was chewy and frites were soggy...Not sure whether I would eat here again.

We happened on the Redeye Grill by accident. It looked like a good place to stop, and it was. The steak was excellent, the standard by which we judge a restaurant. We'll return the next time we're in New York to try some of the other interesting looking choices. We particularly liked the cheesy potatoes (I don't remember what they... More

I noticed people (mainly tourist) that think this is like diner food at diner price. Most likely because of its name. It is not. Its white table cloths. Food is very good. Love the tender short ribs and Cobb salads are huge and fresh. Service is always good and servers know the menu really well. I think the seafood is... More

Elegant and atmospheric, the Redeye promises the best of American brasserie food and delivers it. A well balanced, if not massively original, combination of seafood, steaks, crab cakes etc make up the menu. (The miso cod is out standing). The mostly American wine list is a joy - great Russian River selections. Service is friendly and efficient, even if the... More
