Braised ribs were awesome! Tender and delicious. Prime Steak w/frites was horrible! Steak was chewy and frites were soggy...Not sure whether I would eat here again.

We happened on the Redeye Grill by accident. It looked like a good place to stop, and it was. The steak was excellent, the standard by which we judge a restaurant. We'll return the next time we're in New York to try some of the other interesting looking choices. We particularly liked the cheesy potatoes (I don't remember what they... More

I noticed people (mainly tourist) that think this is like diner food at diner price. Most likely because of its name. It is not. Its white table cloths. Food is very good. Love the tender short ribs and Cobb salads are huge and fresh. Service is always good and servers know the menu really well. I think the seafood is... More

Elegant and atmospheric, the Redeye promises the best of American brasserie food and delivers it. A well balanced, if not massively original, combination of seafood, steaks, crab cakes etc make up the menu. (The miso cod is out standing). The mostly American wine list is a joy - great Russian River selections. Service is friendly and efficient, even if the... More

We were staying at the Manhattan Club across the street and on our last full day here decided to enjoy a lunch on the nice patio of the Red Eye Grill. Location and amenities were good, service was great but the food related to price was not. Over priced for average food on this day...

What a pleasure having a waiter who knows the menu so well that he can advise exactly what dishes meet dietary requirements! And then to return 3 nights later and be remembered, even though that specific waiter was not on duty. Our party of 6 had 9 different entree dishes over our two visits and they were all superb. Not... More

My husband eats here often while on business, so he was excited to take us this trip. We ate there before our broadway show, which was perfect - upscale dinner nearby the show, yet far enough away from Times Square to get out of the crowds. Beautifully decorated and fabulous food.

The last time I had brunch at the Redeye Grill was this past Sunday, July 27th. I came with an out of town friend. I have had brunch here a number of times, and the food has always been above average - probably about the best clam chowder I have every had. I like the atmosphere and ambiance, a sort... More

We chose this restaurant as they serve a good variety of seafood and healthy dining options. We were absolutely not disappointed in the choice. Thier selection of raw bar items, particularly their oysters, was outstanding. We had a variety between whole steamed lobsters, Wild Salmon and Chicken Schnitzel. The prices were very reasonable for the part of Manhattan and we... More
