You know how fixed menus at the holidays are often just no good? Well this one was quite good...not excellent but good. Highlights included the parsnip purée and agnolotti. While the prime rib was good it was not what we are used to when ordering... On the small side. Fois grad was more a pâté than actual goose liver but... More

This was our second time to Picholine. We enjoyed both times very much. Food is very tasty. Unfortunately, we are scarred by an incident which we found our about at the end of our dinner. My husband ordered a bottle of wine for $100. When the bill came, the wine charged was $300. We obviously inquired. The waiter said my... More

Picholine is tucked away on a side street between Columbus and CPW in NYC and the visit is worthwhile. The food is superb. We have been there many many times. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Hard to get a reservation, so plan ahead.

Wonderful food and service. We were 8 people and had the 3 course fixe pris menu. A few also had the wine tasting. All went perfectly.

I was a little hesitant about the fixed price menu starting at over $100 without drinks. But I gave up my inhibition and went with it and was well rewarded. Starting with desert, just order the "peanut butter and jelly." Don't ask questions, just order it...it is to die for. The salad and cheese options were great and my wife... More

Picholine, across from Lincoln Center, is an elegant, understated gem in the upper echelon of Upper West Side restaurants. The menu is imaginative without being trendy (thank goodness). Whatever appeals to you is recommendable. The night we were there Scottish game birds were being featured. That meant red-legged partridge, grouse, wood pigeon and other "exotic" fowl. I started with a... More

Food price/quality ratio acceptable. Otherwise in every aspect tormenting suprises. Seating very interesting considering almost empty dining room. Sommelier not on the map. Meny order confused. Some members of the Staff including a senior attendee saw everything But were not able to prevent all misconduct. Most import: we were referred four times about out theatre beginning schedule in good advance... More

We were there (three couples) to celebrate one 11th Anniversary and one 50th Anniversary - rare occasions. The food and service were stellar although the Sommelier needs to search more diligently for excellent quality wines at a more reasonable price - they do exist. Such diligent, unobtrusive service can only be imagined in this day and age, but demonstrably displayed... More

My husband and I recently visited NYC and we chose this restaurant based on the fact it just received its first Michelin Star. We had a wonderful experience. We had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. My favorite dishes were the pumpkin bisque and the rib eye. Delicious! We waited a few minutes between courses which I actually... More
