I can't think of a better way to set the stage for an event at Lincoln Center than to first have dinner at Picholine. The food, service and atmosphere are outstanding. The staff receives special mention as they are extremely accommodating and friendly.

We couldn't find any other restaurant for a saturday night last minute dinner with clients. All our favourites were booked, and, after calling and receiving an assurance that we could order a la carte, instead of the 5 course dinner, we decided on Picholine, a restaurant we used to patronize years ago. The bill was just under $1000 for 4... More

My husband and I were in New York for the opera that night and unfortunately, it happened to be Valentine's Day, when it is extremely difficult to get a dinner reservation in New York. I had to sign a contract several days in advance committing to $235 per person minimum for a 5 course dinner, not including drinks or gratuity.... More

We were fortunate to have scored the chef's table when we made our reservation, and that in itself was a superb experience. But the food was absolutely incredible. We were served course after course of artistic, fresh, and exquisite dishes including chicken with foie gras (sous vide then deep fried!), hamachi as fresh as the ocean, tagliatelle with truffles, and... We love sophisticated French restaurants with small portions of exquisite food that provide not so much of a meal, but more of a nourishing experience. The Picholine used to be one of these places, but not anymore. On our last visit we were a bit surprised. The portions for every course became almost pathetic and the flavors were hit and... More

My companion took me to this delightful restaurant. The interior was so very lovely. The service was incredible! The waitstaff was warm and welcoming! The food was prepared well. The four story suckling pig was just a tad salty but I enjoyed the meal overall! The offerings that they give are very well thought out small bites of delectable choices.... More

We wanted to go here for sometime and finally made it. It was all we expected and more. It is not inexpensive but well worth it. We loved the cheese cart. The server was most helpful. We would definitely go back.

Looking for something special for NYE we chose the early seating prefixe dinner service. $105 I think for a three course gourmand menu. Beautiful and sophisticated decor, terrific service from charming staff. My husband raved about his scallop appetizer and described his Dover sole as sublime. The only dissapointing dish was still great, a sweet gnocchi type appetizer, just not... More

You know how fixed menus at the holidays are often just no good? Well this one was quite good...not excellent but good. Highlights included the parsnip purée and agnolotti. While the prime rib was good it was not what we are used to when ordering... On the small side. Fois grad was more a pâté than actual goose liver but... More

This was our second time to Picholine. We enjoyed both times very much. Food is very tasty. Unfortunately, we are scarred by an incident which we found our about at the end of our dinner. My husband ordered a bottle of wine for $100. When the bill came, the wine charged was $300. We obviously inquired. The waiter said my... More
