Good Fish Reasaurant

Tried this restaurant for the first time, although a little on the pricey side the meal was good and well served.

As the name indicates, an excellent variety of fresh seafood choices. A large restaurant, but felt very comfortable. Staff was very accommodating as one of our party needed a "no pepper" selection. The chef "custom prepared" an entree which usually called for pepper and the result was excellent and taken in stride. My wife and I had a "slow baked... More

I took a friend here for their birthday as part of my goal in 2015 to sample more of The City's Michelin Star restaurants. Very pleasant, elegant environment that was a good combination of quiet and lively. We tried several different kinds of oysters, the Trout Tartare, the Ceviche, The Dorade, and a Parfait for dessert. The first thing that... More

Our wine steward suggested the perfect wine for before our meal and during dinner. We all order different from the menu and everything was beautiful... More

Our last night in NY, we ventured out for seafood. Oceana was well appointed but tended to be a bit noisy as diners arrived. Not a place for an intimate dinner. The selection and quality of all meal was exceptional. We had the pre-theater dinner with wine pairing and were surprised by the interesting flavors of the fish as well... More

Beautiful dinner 3 course options for $49 price fixe. Tasty oysters and sashimi for our first course, perfect medium rare hanger steak and grilled mackerel for entrees, finished with three tropical fruit sorbets and a divine chocolate parfait! Wonderful crusty rolls, draft beer, and delightful gin and ginger cocktail. Excellent service, lovely setting. Recommend highly,

I had an such fresh calmer and then delicate red snapper - yum yum yum! Nice space near the Theatre so it is easy to eat and then go to see a play. Nice wine by the glass.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
