On a recent girls' weekend to New York City, we visited Oceana for appetizers before a show. The atmosphere was very warm and relaxing, the appetizers very good, and I cannot rave enough about the hot mulled red wine...especially on a cold January evening! Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with the menu, did not hover too much but... More

Recently had the pleasure of a great meal at this establishment. The restaurant is beautiful, centrally located near the theater district(with pre theater menu if you need one) and in fact was going to a show, but had 90 minutes , Told the waitress and she made sure we were accommodated. Service was first rate and the food was better... More

Truthfully, our dinner at Oceana was quite nice. The restaurant is very beautiful and upscale. The server was polite and professional. The food was good. I have nothing specific to complain about ..... but nothing really sticks out as special, memorable, or worth going back specifically to re-experience. The restaurant location is very good if you need to be in... More

Now open for breakfast, everything was nicely made with fresh ingredients, but if you're looking for one of those gut-busting affairs, you will not find it here. This is more of a small portion, artfully done sort of meal. Oh, and a bacon & Swiss cheese omelet with tea runs $32, before tip. Best kept for a business meeting on... More

This is one of the best seafood restaurants I have been to. The restaurant was lovely - clean, crisp white tablecloths and smartly dressed staff. We had an early lunch before a matinee performance and I only wish we had had more time. There was a quick lunch menu but we had 3 courses from the main menu. The service... More

We had the Theatre Menu - $55/pp from 5 - 6:30 PM. After enjoying really good specialty cocktails ($15 each) and a tasty appetizer of fried calamari ($19) at the bar, we decided to stay put and watch the football game before heading to the Gershwin Theatre. This was our mistake. Although the bartenders were great, the food service was... More

Beautiful interior decor greeted us at the Oceana alongside some wonderful staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful about their menu and wine pairings. Staff were very attentive to our needs during our dining experience and complimentary dishes were also served which really boasted the chefs skills in creating flavour explosions. The food was out of this world, I had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
