Pre-Lincoln Center fun

We had dinner before the ballet this weekend and had never been here. It has always seemed like a tourist trap but was actually a great surprise. The food was excellent and well timed for the performance. It's a tight space but was a fun and interesting place for dinner. The arugula pear salad is... read more

We went here because we caught an evening performance at The Metropolitan Opera House. The establishment is very clean. They get you a table very quickly. Our waiter was very kind and attended our every need quickly, but never made us feel rushed. The tables are set up so we could talk with other Opera fans if we wanted to.... More

Fiorello's, directly across from Lincoln Center, is the remaining bastion of classic restaurants in the neighborhoods that has managed to maintain its ideal locale. A well-stocked bar serves quality wines and delightful concoctions while the antipasto bar continually delights diners (and you should try it!) Whether you choose a la carte or from the antipasto bar, you'll be treated to... More

Had an unplanned lunch at Café Fiorello during a day in the city with friends. There was a couple exiting & we asked their opinion of this establishment. They said it was very good. We then asked what's good. They then replied e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g. I was intrigued. From the moment we entered, I realized what a great choice we made. There... More

Café Fiorello is across the street from Lincoln Center. It is a great place to go before or after a performance. It's always busy so a reservation is a good idea. The restaurant has an antipasto bar which is what makes it so much fun. You walk with the waiter and point out the appetizers you would like and he... More

The service here was fantastic! Food was great too. The minute we walked in the door we felt welcome. Our waiter was very attentive. Once we finished our food, we were so full but wanted to see the desert menu. We knew we could not eat it, as we asked the waiter the size of the deserts and was told... More

The food is quite good but be prepared to wait even with reservations unless you come early during opera performances across the street as a lot of opera goers come here. Food is tasty , a little expensive and served by well trained staff. This is a good dining option for the opera.

A lively place. It was convenient for all eight of us to convene across the Lincoln Center. The choice of appetizers and entrées was extensive. The portions were very generous. Seafood: scallops, shrimp scampi, fried calamari, octopus salad, seafood risotto; mixed vegetables, grilled asparagus, arugula pear salad; and calves liver, baked parmigiana. How can one order dessert after that? No... More
