Flavours and portions almost like in Italy!

I was pleasantly surprised by this nicely locate restaurant, there is a kind of higher end Italian Trattoria air to it. Portions are generous just like in Italy, at NYC prices of course, and their flavours are very close to genuinely good Italian food. Would go back! Noticed how many times I said... read more

I have been to this restaurant several times whilst in New York and I love going there. The food is fresh and good. Seating can be a little tight at times especially brunch times at the weekend. Service can be a little slow but it is a busy restaurant and sometimes you have to wait for good food. You can... More

During our one-week stay in NYC, we managed to eat there twice, even though we had to walk 15 blocks to get there. Everyone in our party found the food delicious. Eating outside across from Lincoln Center is very nice, too. Reservations are recommended for peak hours -- it's busy!

Location, location, location. Across from the theatre venues at Lincoln Center and near Juillard, Fiorello’s enjoys a prime location. The food was good, but not the service. And not worth the price. The food was not all that expensive, but a small glass of wine at $13 to $16 each is exorbitant. A cup of coffee for $4.50 and a... More

We went here on our first trip to NY and we're still talking about it when we went home. When we knew we were coming back to NY this was the first restaurant we headed to. Great service, warm and welcoming. Food is freshly cooked and just delicious - this is NOT your average Italian food. Spaghetti carbonara is my... More

We took in a meal at Cafe Fiorello before the Opera at Lincoln Center one evening during our last trip to New York. While the restaurant is fantastically convenient to Lincoln Center the food is only so-so. All the food we dined on seemed to have spent too much time on the kitchen stove--nothing seemed very freshly prepared. The one... More

When we were in NYC in early March, we had a drink at Cafe Fiorello and noted all of the fantastic-looking appetizers at the bar. So, when we were back in NYC, we booked a dinner at Fiorello before the Metropolitan Opera. Although adequate, the food was not great. The braised (or roasted) leeks were too salty and the fennel... This restaurant is in a good location and seems to be quite popular. It's a bit on the pricey side but then again the location might dictate the price. The food however is questionable. I had the Lobster and Shrimp Pappardelle which had to be the worst meal I had in New York. The lobster and shrimp was extremely rubbery... More

This restaurant is in a terrific location across from Lincoln Center. On a nice day it is one of our favorite places to sit al fresco and enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese plate while watching the world go by. So we thought, how bad can it be when we had to pick a place to have dinner... More
