Expensive but a great treat

The only reason I did not give Norma’s 5 stars was the service. It wasn’t bad, it was very average, and for the price it should have been better. My husband and I both had the Crunchy French Toast, we saw it being delivered to another dinner and looks did not deceive. It was delicious. The Orange... read more

This restaurant ROCKS! We come here for breakfast every year on our annual girls weekend and it never disappoints! The Decadent Chocolate French Toast is ridiculously delicious. As well as everything else on the menu. It's definitely pricey, but SO worth it. Not your regular breakfast menu! You will definitely come back. The staff is very attentive, and did I... More

This will be the best brunch you have ever eaten. Your biggest disappointment is that you can't get one of everything. Don't forget to ask to buy their cookbook!

So I had the 'Donut even go there' dish - it WAS national ice cream day... It was the most indulgent breakfast ever, but I only managed about a quarter of it before admitting defeat... This place is lovely, easy to get to, lovely staff and nice surroundings, but IS expensive... If you know this before you go the the... More

I am a local and I have been hearing about Norma's from visiting friends for years. I've never known anyone who lives in the city to ever mentioned it and this should have been my warning. It was my son's birthday and I wanted to do something special. I know that hotel breakfasts are expensive; that was expected. What I... More

We just had a fabulous brunch at Norma's for my wife's 30th birthday! It was so delicious and the environment is ideal, not too formal yet still sophisticated. My wife and 1/2 blueberry pancake & 1/2 French toast and I had the shrimp egg white frittata and everything was perfection! Expensive but not outrageous.

We go to Norma's for a special breakfast everytime we visit NYC. You should definitely make a reservation or you will need to wait. This time our server seemed to ignore us. I didnt even realize she was our waitress because she passed by our table several times and didn't acknowledge us. This has never been the case before. It... More

If you are a breakfast lover, and like it a bit fancy. Then make a reservation at Norma's! Their breakfast menu is simply amazing and hard to choose from, however try their Nutella filled pancakes, you won't regret it. Great service.

We visit NYC several times a year and Norma's for breakfast/brunch is ALWAYS on our itinerary. Their pancakes, omelettes, Eggs Benedict, and smoothies are to-die-for! Each plate is a mini work of art and every morsel is delicious. The portions are large so if you are not adverse to sharing, everyone can order something different from the extensive menu and... I'm always a little skeptical of hotel restaurants but when we walked into our breakfast reservation late and the hostess sat us right away I was already sold on Norma's! Our waiter was fabulous, knowledgeable, and kind. Everyone is given a sample of the smoothie of the day which for us was pineapple and orange. It was perfect - cool,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
