My friend and I spent $20.00 including sodas and we even had take home food. Everything we had were good. We were so hungry just grabbed 3 different kinds of food in plastic containers and voila! Happy!

This is the go-to place when we crave for something home-cooked Korean meal on a "student" budget. Why pay for everything ala carte on a restaurant when you can explore on $7.99 per pound trying different buffet food or go for packaged ready-to-eat food? The combinations with food and drinks are endless. We spent almost $24 dinner for 2 people,... More

Ever since this food place opened I have always found it very convenient and food satisfying. You find standard Korean to-go fare. They have a hot/cold buffet line and pre-packaged food. There are a lot of choices for beverages and beers. The staff is efficient and service fast. It's cafeteria style seating but you don't feel hurried and I even... More

Second visit to Woorijip while shopping in Manhattan. This is a great place to get your fix of Korean specialties, both in a bountiful buffet style, as well as pre-packaged items such as dumplings, kim chee, fried rices, meats and lots of other things. A very casual setting that is good for take out as well as just eating, as... More

The Woorijip is one of many local restaurants of Korean district of Manhattan, in which you can eat traditional dishes of Korean and East in general. Very useful to be able to pay "for weight" what you want to eat. I suggest you make a stop at this restaurant, looking outside the window the whole life of the heart of... More

There are many restaurants on this block but this must be one of the better ones because it was jammed with diners, most of whom appeared to be Korean. The buffet has many selections, easy for both meat eaters and vegetarians. Favorites were the string beans with mushrooms, the sauteed tofu, and the egg custard. The food is sold by... More

I ate at Woorijip earlier this week at the suggestion of the Penn Station Information Booth attendant and I know that I will be going back. It's easy enough to find -- walk down the long hallway of shops at Penn Station, go up the stairs and head straight for two and a half blocks. It's on the right. It... More

I've tried almost all of the dishes and each of them are incredibly tasty. Plus, you can set up the portions for yourself and pay for what you get, so it's a good deal for someone who doesn't eat that much like I do.

First time I've ever had Korean food so no idea how to rate it's authenticity. It was, however, quite tasty. Loved everything I tasted except a fried whole fish that is not gutted. Sprats size fish is acceptable un-gutted but these were fairly sizeable fish. Usual price is $7.99/lb but there is a happy hour 3-30 pm where the food... More

This place was a win for us. We went at 5:30 on a weekday, but the crowd wasn't bad. You can hit up the buffet for a good variety. The buffet is $7.99/lb. which wasn't bad for the amount of food you get. You can also pick up a la carte items. We tried a lot of stuff, and everything... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
