Nice Korean Buffet

First time I've ever had Korean food so no idea how to rate it's authenticity. It was, however, quite tasty. Loved everything I tasted except a fried whole fish that is not gutted. Sprats size fish is acceptable un-gutted but these were fairly sizeable fish. Usual price is $7.99/lb but there is a... read more

This place was a win for us. We went at 5:30 on a weekday, but the crowd wasn't bad. You can hit up the buffet for a good variety. The buffet is $7.99/lb. which wasn't bad for the amount of food you get. You can also pick up a la carte items. We tried a lot of stuff, and everything... More

Very good Korean fast food buffet style. Mostly patroned by Asian clientele, so I guess it must be quite good to meet their expectations. Not a real restaurant, since you end up serving the food yourself, but that is what we came there for. Many, many items to choose from. Some a little strange for a non Korean, but kimchi... More

Without exaggeration, the Woorijip is arguably one of the best value meal outlets in mid-town Manhattan; all cuisines considered. It offers a wide range of tasty food (predominantly Korean cuisine) at very reasonable prices. It is usually crowded but this is a reflection of its popularity. Whilst we have never had major difficulties getting a seat and table at lunch... More

We had to go here twice for their cheap, lot of variation and good food. A asian fastfood shack so don´t expect to much of the aspect of the place. They weigh the food!

Warning, if the food on the buffet has something that seems to be tomatoes sauce, don't put it on your plate if you're into spicy food... I tried really spicy food like Mexican and Indian but this was too much... The price is fair for what you can eat but this was the worst meal I had in NYC.

I was looking for some Korean food for lunch. I happened upon this place and decided to try it based on the menu prices. At the front of the restaurant is a buffet priced at $7.50/lb. Further back are heated units containing premade food. I had the spicy pork with white rice and kimchee for $6.50. I have no complaints... More

We stopped here to sample Korean food and were not disappointed. There are two options; buy by the pound at the buffet or from the prepackaged items and combinations. You can take out or eat in. The restaurant seating is similar to that at a college cafeteria, clean and well lit. We choose the buffet with the many choices of... More

Everything is great at the lunch buffet. There is a large selection with plenty to choose from. It gets really crowded and sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it. Prices are also very reasonable.

The prices are about on par with all the other Korean food establishments in neighborhood. Not one particular dish stands out, but they pack plenty of flavor. The staff is not very strict on monitoring what you consume. Best to buy your beverage at the CVS or Wallgreen's around the cornera and buy your lunch here. Their pre-packed combo meals... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
