Jaiya Thai Big recommendation despite small servings

Jar, the waiter who told us that he has come to NYC all the way from Thailand to make money, was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was warm and cosy, the portions of servings small but delicious. Enjoyed the papaya salad, the green Thai curry and rice, and the emerald dumplings which... read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant - of any I've ever been to. I've been coming here for maybe 12-13 years and seen it go through at least 2 renovations. But it's not the decor I love about this place, it's the food. My wife and I have our set take out order here - Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken... More

Great fast service! Food was on point: black bean chicken, chicken pad Thai, naked shrimp and pork larb. All food was served quickly and was hot. Pad Thai was the best I have had in NYC! Definitely would recommend!

We had dinner at Jaiya. Good selection of appetizers and entrees in a nice atmosphere. We would go back

Great little restuarant. Have been going there for the last 20 years. The food is still wonferfully spicy and authentic. It is significantly more expensive than what it used to br s few years ago. It does get very busy and there is virtually no table privacy. Come to the restsurant for the delicioud food.

This is one of my favorite places to have Thai food around Murray hill. The Pad Thai and Tom yum are superb. Prices are fair and the decor is nice and modern. Very unpretentious place, I would recommend if you are in the area.

Lovely food each time I've visited. The coconut shrimp and golden rock calamari are a must. Curries pretty tasty and enjoyably spicey. Fantastic mango and sticky rice to round the meal off. Service is nice without being over the top.

Jaiya Thai and Little Basil (around the corner) are my two favorite Thai places. Real, authentic Thai, and reasonably priced. My work colleagues debate which place is better!! Go decide for yourself!! Cheers!!

Delicious Thai food to sum it up. I went for the Thai Green Curry which was the best I have had in a while in NY. Thing to note is that the rice comes separately and is less for one person while the curry quantity is generous. Service is quick, but no wifi. It's one of the few restaurants on... More

Nice enough ambiance and a strong menu, but food quality just wasn't there. The freshness and full flavor you expect from good Thai just melded together like mediocre Chinese in a red curry dish of non-distinction.
