I have eaten in kosher restaurants around the world, and I have to admit that this is one of the better ones. Abigael's offers a very nice menu, really good food, great ambience, and the location couldn't be more centrally located near Times Square and the Broadway show district. I highly recommend.

My wife and I go here at least twice a year. We have come to work with the issues this place has only BECAUSE OF THEIR FAIR REASONABLE PRICES, If they stated charging $50+ for their steaks like some other kosher NYC steakhouses, we would prob stop going. For one, we do not go here if we need to catch... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We're pleased that you've enjoyed dining with us so many times over the years. We manage to keep our prices in line with most fine dining steak houses throughout the city, despite the ever increasing costs of beef. We aim for really high standards with our service, and do apologize that... More

I started the meal with the Smoked Brisket Eggroll with a barbecue vinaigrette ($15). I thought that it was good but not good enough to make me want to order it in future visits. For my main course I ordered the Roast Duck served with a fruit sauce ($39), the portion was large. Duck is one of my favorite dishes,... More

Thanks for sharing your comments. You ordered some of our more popular items, including The Smoked Brisket Eggroll. Although not a future draw for you, we were happy to read that you thought it was good. The Roast Duck we serve is the crisp skin, fully cooked LI Duckling version. We do not offer the Muscovy Duck, which is often... More

I happened across Agagaels after a long day of travel. I discovered after entering that I was really underdressed for the restaurant, but received polite and friendly service regardless. My meal was excellent. I had a steak and butternut squash soup. The atmosphere was quiet and refined. I would highly recommend, weather you need a kosher meal or not. I... More

This was a very good kosher food restaurant served with flair as well as being very tasty. They have a very wide drinks menu including cocktails.

We had a friend visiting from London who loves steak and he had already been to Prime Grill so we selected Abigael's for dinner. Our first impression was not so positive, as the revolving door is broken. Then we had to go down, and down, and down yet again to the dining room, which was very full. That could account... More

Thanks for the taking the time to let us know of your concerns. The revolving door slipped off its track a day or two before your visit, and needed an extra push. It is slated for repair shortly. There is another door to the left of that one, as well as entry to the lower level restaurant via the office... More

A friend and I had never eaten at a Kosher restaurant before and thought Abigael's would be a good place to try. I waited outside awhile for my friend because I didn't realize that there was seating downstairs and the main room was empty so don't be discouraged if you don't see anyone inside. The service was very good as... More

Thanks for your recent visit to Abigael's. We're glad you enjoyed your lunch. It is surprising that we have a 350 seat restaurant on the lower level, while the big-windowed lounge looks so intimate! As foreigners we experienced some trouble finding the restaurant and had to take a few walks up and down the block. However once we got seated it turned out to be a very nice experience. This seems to be the best choice for a nice kosher meal in midtown Manhattan. The food was pretty good and the wait service was excellent. We were very disappointed that when we had difficulty finding a taxi to send our Israeli friends back to Brooklyn (including a severely handicapped person), they showed the worst side of a New York... We are delighted that you enjoyed your dining experience at Abigael's and that one of our waiters was able to help you with transportation back to Brooklyn. We recently moved away from NYC and returned for a business related visit. I found Abigael's on trip advisor while searching for kosher sushi. WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW ABOUT ABIGAEL'S BEFORE???? Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
