Awesome authentic italian in the heart of grand central station watching the crowds and being surrounded by amazing great hall architecture. For some reason though they don't seem to want to serve you on arrival. First time I went I stood waiting for ages before I was asked if I wanted anything. Second time I went I stood there for... As two of a group of 20 from Australia, in NYC as part of an Academy Travel (Sydney) tour, we were treated to a lovely lunch at Cipriani Dolci. We'd spent the morning looking at notable buildings and were pleased to be able to relax in comfort, overlooking the concourse of Grand Central Station. Most of us chose a pasta... More

Sat in the beautiful surroundings of Grand Central Station with the finest table linen and a champagne cocktail - what's not to like? Totally blown away by the prosciutto, mozzarella and rocket sandwich. A must visit.

Whether you are waiting for a train or just nearby and want a great meal, this is the place to dine...they have chicken wings that are fileted?? don't know how they do it, delicious and fun to eat. You can sit high above the train floor watching hundreds of people below and experience great food..we love it

I was meeting a girlfriend and booked a table for 2 for lunch at Cipriani Dolce at Grand Central in early June. Having been to several Cipriani restaurants in NY and Italy...my expectation was that the food and service would be wonderful. We found the service to be indifferent....they constantly asked if we wanted wine or cocktails. We both had... More

The place is pretty famous with its connection to the inventor of the Belini, which is written about in the menu. Servers are attentive and friendly, but professional. Drinks are expensive; but, that said, it is a very nice place to relax with a beverage while you take in the beauty of the station from a cozy vantage point with... More

Went during restaurant week, before going I always read the reviews. Some of the reviews were not so good. When Rocky, our waiter came over to the table I told him about that and he said "Do not worry, you will love tonight! Boy was he right, everything was cooked to perfection and Rocky was very attentive and helpful when... More

Good selection of Gins in a fabulous setting, just a pity each gin and tonic was 15 dollars but the service was good and the place had a real buzz.

Conveniently located, nice view in the main hall and with good and fast service. But if you are looking for good food, there are much better alternatives in the area. My Branzino alla griglia (grilled sea-bas) was not bad, but came out of the kitchen very quickly and was clearly re heated. For that price, you would expect something prepared... More

I was really craving some good food and we were by Grand Central. I had read Cipriani's was good so my son and I decided to try it. We sat down, took a look at the menu and the prices were very high for lunch, even in NY. We thought about leaving, but then decided to give it a try.... More
