Great location, very expensive

We stopped in before we caught our train. One glass of their house brand prosecco was $14.95. The atmosphere is great, the waitstaff was very professional.

The food, prosecco and sheer scale of the setting makes this a great place to wow your friends or family. We ate there for a birthday lunch and views across the concourse were stunning. Food was tasty and prosecco delicious.

Came to Grand Central Station to check out the station. Instead a great surprise to find a Cipriani at one end and an Apple Store at the other end.... We ordered the "Proscuitto Tower" which was fantastic, as was the fish and broccoli. The Cipriani margarita was not what I'd expected but overall the place , service and food was... More

We were just there before catching a train, so we had a Spritz and few bites. The place is very classy and we loved the location (inside the GRand Central terminal in New York). You can seat at the bar or at tables. Here they serve little bites and apetizer with drinks.Pricey but you pay the name and the location....Love... More

This was my first time at Cipriani Dolci. I wasn't sure what to expect when my friend invited me out for NYC Restaurant Week and suggested we try the Grand Central location. Wow! The food was great! The service was exceptional. And the view from within Grand Central was just grand! If you love people watching and great food -... More

The professional service, great food and creative drinks/wine create a wonderful balcony dining experience from which to linger under the domed ceiling of Grand Central Terminal taking in all the sights and sounds (not quiet) of this NY transit hub. It is an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of this always busy train and subway station. Italian menu with... More

Some people in New York used to call-may be still - call the Grand Central Station "the Center of Universe" and I used to ask myself and even some of my friends that what is the possibility of the applicability of this TREMENDOUSLY AMBITIOUS phrase for this place. After two visits to this MAGNIFICENTLY UNIQUE Italian-themed with WORLD-RENOWNED TITLES, ı... More

I eat here every time I visit New York. It has become something of a family tradition to have at least one lunch here while we talk and survey the hustle and bustle of the Main Concourse. The food is not expensive if you choose carefully and the menu is extensive. Alcohol can put the price up but that is... More

I have now had lunch twice at Cipriani Dolci in Grand Central Terminal. The location is truly unique, overlooking the grand arrival hall (which in my view is one of the nicest structures anywhere and a very NYC experience) Perched above all the madness below you can enjoy great Italian food or drinks at the bar. I can recommend the... More

It is my pet peeve, but I hate going to a restaurant that should be open--whose website says it is open--only to find that the staff has taken on itself to close up early. Such was the case tonight at Cipriani Dolci. This is not acceptable for a business of this caliber. My colleagues and I were working late and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
