We ended up at Franchia after we couldn’t get a table at Hangawi, their 'sister' restaurant. Convicted carnivores, we were very skeptical as we've never been to a vegan restaurant before. We were blown away by the food! The avocado green curry had the most enchanting fresh aroma infused with lemon grass and lime whilst the soy chicken bibimbap was... More

I have been twice at Franchia, once for Lunch and once for Dinner. Both time it was great. Quick service, excellent food, not too spicy (but could have it as spicy as you want) with a wide array of vegan options sapiently and professionally prepared. For dinner I took a fix full course menu salad+2 appetizers+1main+1dessert+tea for 30USD. Besides being... More

The two things I truly enjoyed at Franchia are: bibimpap and the mango drink. The service: slow and annoying. Food: average, overall. It's not a quick lunch, slow service..the restaurant was not busy on the day I choose to visit.

We just turned up and were able to get a table for myself, husband and daughter. The food was absolutely amazing, so tasty and really nicely presented. We had some help from the waiter when selecting our food. Cant remember what we ordered but I do remember it was divine and we all cleared every place. Was really disappointed that... More

We went out as a group of 3 couples on a Friday night. We got reservations and asked for a corner table. Though we got there a half-hour early, we were promptly seated in a quiet corner. The food was a feast for the senses. We had 3 appetizers all of which were delicious and unique. The buffalo wings were... More

Franchia Café is a vegan Korean restaurant, similar to Hangawi. The menu has quite a variety, including a gluten free menu. The ambience was nice, and the staff were attentive and friendly, and very efficient. I had the veg curry hot pot with brown rice and the pomegranate tea, both of which were delicious. It is a bit pricey -... More

This was probably our best meal in New York City and one of the best of our trip. Enjoyed the busy atmosphere from a small nook upstairs and had the dumplings, Chicken Curry, also the Soy Beef. Quality produce used throughout to match fast and efficient service. Check it out.

It is very rare to get good vegetarian options these days. Most of the time, we have only one item on the menu but Franchia being a vegan cafe has so many options. We tried the following : Tropical Mango & Avocado Roll - Without the sauce, it was bland. But with the sauce, it was fantastic. Grilled Tofu - there... More

We shared the pad thai noodles, vegetable dumplings, and spicy wontons. It was all really yummy. My friend had a glass of sangria and said it was delicious, and I had the Nirvana cocktail (ginger and soju). It was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great vegan Asian cuisine. The space is really cute too, and... More

We really enjoyed this cute and pleasant fusion restaurant in midtown. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff friendly. There is much to choose from despite the vegan edge to the menu. The spicy dishes are not too overwhelming and the wine list, while limited, is inexpensive. We enjoyed this place and would go back.
