Delicious Korean Dinner

My SO and I went to this Korean restaurant before we went to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch on broadway. We decided to go to this place because of the good reviews. Stumbled upon this little gem whilst walking around. The service and food were excellent. I had not eaten Korean food before so had to ask about some things on the menu. I was given detailed explanation of what I was ordering and from then on it just got better. The dumplings are outstanding and some beef dish I ordered was... More

Many Korean restaurants modify their menus to better suit American tastes. This one is closer to traditional Korean fare. How do I know? Over six years total living there at various times. Also, our hosts were Korean. I particularly liked their pajun. My wife and I both had bibimbop, mine with bulgogi, hers without. Delicious, though it could have been... More

I go to this restaurant when in NYC for their rice bowls and fresh tofu. Totally delicious. The selection of pickled vegi's to start is always good. You can make reservations, which *may* get you in faster. There is usually a line and the older waitresses are all business. They aren't keen on loitering - but as long as you... More

On burgeoning 35th instead of bustling 32nd, this Korea Town cafe is definitely worth trying. Everything just seemed a bit more creative, a bit more caring, a bit more authentic than the dozens of others offering essentially the same menu. Dumplings and homemade tofu were especially good. It's casual, but not as chaotic as some of the 32nd street places.... More

This is by far the best Korean BBQ I have ever had. This tiny little restaurant can pack in the people with good service & excellent food. Reservations are recommended as there is usually quite a line up to get in. If you like Korean Food make sure to stop in here.

My sister raved about this place when she came last year. This year, coming to NY again, she brought me to try it. I always enjoy a good korean meal and I usually assess by the kimchi side dish and kimchi jigae. We came for early dinner and the restaurant was already 75% filled. Very traditional environment. The entire service... More

This was the first Korean restaurant we've been to and it was a very good meal, but I'm not sure I'd return. The bulgogi was good and we also had the pork dolsot bap, which had interesting flavors. They serve a selection of small appetizer plates with dinner, so there's no need to order appetizers if you want to sample... More

We dined here recently as a family. The staff were very accommodating of my daughter's soy allergy. Described the menu selections. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The staff, entrees, ambiance and price were fantastic.

A very busy place, especially popular with Koreans...a good sign! Get there early to avoid some very long lines. House made tofu is their specialty, very enjoyable appetizer. Fresh tasting. Kimchi really excellent, not the typical canned variety. Mains (we had bulgogi and the tofu hotpot) were well seasoned and plentiful. I really enjoyed all the little side dishes that... More
