Restaurant was right next to our hotel and we had never had Korean before, so we decided to give it a try and boy were we happy! The food was great, service ok but all in all a great experience, loved the BBQ beef!

A proper restaurant much better than the BBQ places nearby. Quality of food was outstandingly authentic, even for round here with lots of choice. Portions are too big though, making sampling a range of dishes impractical unless you book an extra table and some fat friends

This part of town, to me, felt like a restaurant oasis - lots of chains and lots of seemingly blah (or ridiculously expensive) options. So we were happy to learn that Cho Dang Gol, located next to our hotel, had been reviewed quite well online and decided to check it out. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but the convenience factor... More

Authentic and tasty food. It can be a bit pricey for some items and if you go in the middle of dining times, it will be busy. Love all the small dishes that get served before your main dishes arrive. Particularly like the kim chee.

We had very nice meal. Very authentic spicy rice cake casserole with seafood. Vegetable bibbimbap was delicious. Very inexpensive, very good waitstaff. Highly recommend a visit.

This place was definitely a feature of my Korean eats in New York. The look and feel of this place was just right on a cold night outside. We started with a seafood and scallion pancake which had nice chunky bits and was on of the best I've found in New York. I followed up with a Spicy Galbi Jjim,... More

Not many Korean restaurants offer great casserole like Cho Dang Gol does. We ordered the Bulgogi Jun Gol and it was one of the best Korean casserole we ever had in the US. It was very delicious and the size was big enough to feed 4 people. The Galbi was also very good and very similar to the Korean bbq... More

Enjoyable lunch at this fantastic Korean restaurant. Located right off 5th Ave and 35th Street, incredibly busy during lunch hours so call in your reservations in advance! Second visit was as good as the first. Excellent seafood pancake and tofu hotpots. Great reviews on Yelp! by other reviewers as well. Definitely on my todo list for a stop on my... More

I'm Korean so I know good Korean food. Our visit last October was so fabulous...food was fresh, organic, home made tasting, hit the spot. This time around, the side dishes were a bit greasy. The fine details were lacking. We never complain about the lack of service b/c the food is so good but I don't know what happened!! A... More

It's been a year or so since I visted but I was at something near Pennsylvania Station and was hungry for something Korean (I usually hold out until I can get to Queens for KumGanSan). The place was so busy! Great to see things still rocking. I can't say everything is great and prices are getting up there (still pretty... More
