Quality Mexican food, north Madison

Dropped in to this place,at the end of a long day of travel. We enjoyed tasty guacamole to start our meal. Service is prompt and sharp. Each of us ordered an entree; tacos pescado, tacos carne asana; and dos enchiladas ( mole & green sauce). Each entree was generously sized and very tasty. We also... read more

We were staying at the Hotel Giraffe and this restaurant was around the corner. Went to dinner on Friday night - very busy and lots of people - but we were able to get a table. Awesome Margaritas and guacamole!

Been there twice so it's good enough to go back but don't expect surprisingly great food. The decor is nice but what really makes the place is the ambiance. It's crowded and music is good. A bit loud but the experience is fun. Food is ok. Pricy for what it is but if you want to have a good time,... More

We had another reservation first, but that restaurant did not look so appealing, so we cancelled it and came here instead. We had passed the restaurant several times during the week and it is always full. We managed to get a table after just a 20 min wait. Food was fantastic. BAJA LOBSTER TOSTADITAS for starter, OAXACAN-STYLE SHRIMP QUESADILLA and... More

I had to wait for other members of my party for our reservation and the person at the front desk pretty well ignored me which was not a good first impression. I was never told that I could wait at the bar and sit (I walk with a cane and was very obviously in a good amount of pain &... More

All round this was an extremely good evening. We over ate and over drank which was more indicative of the relaxed and pleasant ambience of the place than anything else. We experienced for the first time cucumber chips with a really tasty dip and a variety of salsas. I would go back just to sample that particular dish again which... More

We ate here several years ago and enjoyed the excellent food and lovely atmosphere. All that is gone! It is so loud with blaring music and nothing to mute the sound. It seemed like everyone (a lot of large groups) was under 35 including the entire waitstaff. Our server kept calling us "guys" and the service was pretty lackluster. The... More

Restaurant was recommended to us and as it was only a 10 min walk from our hotel we decided to book online for 20.15 an hour before. I was, therefore, surprised at how busy it was when we arrived. The place was full and people queuing for tables. It was also extremely noisy, but after a 5 min wait, we... More

Love Mexican? You'll love its happy hour drinks and appetizers. Tortillas to perfection. Recommend the white sangria. Met for business while scouting sites for Equus Film Festival NYC (Bow Tie Cinema, which is a Tribeca Film Festival host, is nearby).

So it is almost silly that I have waited so long to write a review. I have eaten at Dos Caminos SO many times over the years since it went into business but last night I had an exceptional waiter that deserved a shout out. Kevin (from the Bronx), who is at the Park Ave South location was smart, attentive... More
