Delicious and authentic

My mother and I had a delicious meal here. The restaurant was conveniently located close to our hotel and we could see it was patronised by many Koreans (always a good sign!). I had the spicy tofu stew w seafood, which had a good amount and variety of shellfish; it was delicious. My mother had bi... read more

This is a great location, easy to walk in and no wait on a Thursday night. They bring you 7 pickle plates with different items to munch on. We ordered a mix of entrees and shared them all. Good food and not too expensive

The Han Bat is my favorite place in Koreatown. The food is first class. I would recommend all basic Korean traditional foods: pan jamun, jaeyook hokum, and so on. They are generous with the traditional Korean salads. There's nothing fancy about it, but everything is as it ought to be.

A definite must-try in the Herald Square area. Convenient to the 34th St. Metro station. Best Bim Bim Bop I've had.

Last week, while visiting NYC, we were all craving Korean cuisine. We chose this place because it looked pretty good. We arrived a little before 8 15pm. We ordered by 8.30pm. At 9.15pm our waitress ( who never checked up on us during our stay) simply handed us the bill for all the food we ordered... all we had on... More

One of our close friend's took us to this restaurant, because she loves the diverse menu-not your typical chinese food. She was right! The price is also reasonable and great service.

Lots of choices of traditional Korean dishes and they all looked fabulous! There are some great lunch specials Monday through Friday, but you can share a dish for lunch (and save $$) since the portions are very generous. The chef has been recognized with several awards, but the highlights on the walls were several years old, so I'm not sure... More

My wife, 2 daughters (9 & 12) and I were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn two doors down and we wanted a quick meal on our first night in New York. Didn't want to search around, and luckily there are 3 Korean restaurants right right in the immediate area. We chose Hanbat based on their menu, it was around... More

The food was good and tasty. The Kahlbee ribs were prepared just right. The chicken dish we chose was good also. The side dishes that come with Koreans earls provided. Nice selection of vegetables and Kim chee. The service was not that great waitress seemed reluctant to provide second helping of rice. Server was not very engaging. It is pricey.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
