There are so many venerable steak joints in New York. Go to the old ones. You get what you pay for and they don't try to push anything on you in addition to bad service. I would pass on this place. more

we had dinner on saturday night 11/22/08 . the steak was the best i had ever had. the porterhouse for two just melted in your mouth. the wine list is great. the service at the bar and table was excellent.. this is the best steakhouse in new york. more

Definitely one of the best steakhouses in New York. The appetizers were excellent and then an amazing porterhouse. Get the cottage fries. Great venue for a restaurant. Waited a while for our table, but didn't really bother us. We had a table in the back, which was ideal. Good value for what you get. more

Our 6:45pm reservation didn't mean much because when regulars walked in they were seated first. That was annoying. When we decided to leave at 7:25pm our table was suddenly ready as it had been for the previous 10 minutes...I was watching like a hawk.
