Dinner here was very good. The service was exceptional. The restaurant was a little loud. Our party of four had different dishes. Every one liked what they had. I had lasagna that was very good. This is Northern Italian style food, so a little different than what you usually get, but good.

Jayne and I always dine at Osteria when we are in New York. It offers excellent value, great food and good service. The wine list is a tad expensive but the food is worthy of it. We had dinner here two evenings on this trip. Superb lasagne, pizzas, salad and cheesecake. Friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Highly... More

This restaurant was right across the street from the hotel (the Westin New York Central). The hotel staff recommended this place and the food was great. I was impressed by the menu choices. Service was also quite good.

Stopped by here multiple times over the last 2 years and food has always been very good. Pricing is typical high end Manhattan pricing for Midtown East. Portion Sizes are ok but not large in any way. Nice selection of wine and beer. Front half of restaurant shares space with its bar area and is not conducive if you want... More

We were staying at The Westin and wanted to get dinner late on a weekday evening. It was during the very cold spell in February and we didn't want to walk very far so we thought we would give this place a try. Their Pizza were excellent. thin and crispy with good toppings and the pasta was perfectly cooked. We... More

I like the food of this restaurant. Unfortunately, it is always crazy loud. Perhaps not the best place for a farewell lunch of a work colleague. I come here 3-4 times a month. Try to get a table outside during the warmer months. :)

We ate at this restaurant on our first evening in New York. It was a litle gem. We had delicious food in a nice atmosphere, the ambience was typical New York or at leas our perception of New York.

Nice average place, little sideways from Grand Central. Rather low profile, but nice food, well served on time, also the wine. Our waiter , very friendly and openminded person, speaking a lot of lenguages made the evening still better, beeing attentive, well organized and cunning.

There are not a lot of good restaurants in the East 42nd Street neighborhood. Osteria Laguna is an exception. It is pleasant inside, quiet, the food is lovely, the menu is good, and the service is attentive. Also, the prices are relatively moderate. A good choice if you are looking for a restaurant in this area.

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
