great local Italian and convenient for The Westin guests.

We were staying at The Westin and wanted to get dinner late on a weekday evening. It was during the very cold spell in February and we didn't want to walk very far so we thought we would give this place a try. I like the food of this restaurant. Unfortunately, it is always crazy loud. Perhaps not the best place for a farewell lunch of a work colleague. I come here 3-4 times a month. Try to get a table outside during the warmer months. :)

We ate at this restaurant on our first evening in New York. It was a litle gem. We had delicious food in a nice atmosphere, the ambience was typical New York or at leas our perception of New York.

Nice average place, little sideways from Grand Central. Rather low profile, but nice food, well served on time, also the wine. Our waiter , very friendly and openminded person, speaking a lot of lenguages made the evening still better, beeing attentive, well organized and cunning.

There are not a lot of good restaurants in the East 42nd Street neighborhood. Osteria Laguna is an exception. It is pleasant inside, quiet, the food is lovely, the menu is good, and the service is attentive. Also, the prices are relatively moderate. A good choice if you are looking for a restaurant in this area.

Took my two teenage sons to NYC for Christmas (2014) and wanted to find a nice restaurant where they could eat good food on Christmas Eve and not break the bank. A friend suggested this restaurant and it was fantastic! Good atmosphere, decorated nicely for Christmas, and a very affordable menu. Just down the street from Grand Central Station. An... More

We ordered two pasta dishes, both of which arrived barely warm. I had to ask three times for a glass of water, which eventually arrived after our meal was served. Very disappointing.

Ideally located for our needs. Pre-booked a table on the sidewalk so we could watch the street activity on a warm September evening. Dined a 6 so beat the rush but on the whole the restaurant was not busy. Signature fish dish is Mediterranean Striped Bass which my dining partner selected. The other meal was baby octopus salad and rib... More

Went because of proximity to the hotel and without checking out any reviews, and the restaurant well exceeded our expectations. We ordered only main course, one ravioli and one risotto. Both dishes were absolutely superb: Pasta is home made, ingredients are all fresh, parmigiano of best quality, etc'; and a very talented chef no doubt. Portions are generous but it's... More
