Nice Italian flavors

Nice Italian atmosphere. Good lasagna. Better dessert! Get a Table outside. The service OK. Give a try.

Between 2nd and 3rd on East 42nd St. in front of the Westin is Osteria Laguna, an Italian restaurant with a good brunch selection that includes a glass of mimosa or red wine, and coffee or tea. For $21.95, in NYC, in a good location (close to Grand Central), you can't beat that price for one good Italian meal and... More

Noisy child next to us when we asked for a quite place. Otherwise, calamari pappardelle dagnello and tagliata al rosmarino all very good and nicely presented.

Good, standard Italian food. Large restaurant, fairly bland service, a little rushed. Don't expect anything great and you won't be disappointed.

Staying at the Westin Grand Central we needed a quick bite to eat after a long day travelling. Tried here based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Beautiful fresh homemade pasta with delicious ingredients. Bruschetta to start tasted fabulous and entree pastas were just so tasty. Enjoyed our first night there that we ended up going back on... Did not like the way I was greeted. Waited a while to be acknowledged as the attendant was on the phone and did not take a second to acknowledge my arrival. A potential customer before me left due to the disregard, and still, that did not prompt an immediate acknowledgement. However, I don't want to judge since I don't know... More

Located very close to my office and one of my favorite lunches. The seating area inside is larger than it appears from the front. I also like the option to sit outside on the sidewalk, but seating is limited. I often take guests or colleagues. The small pizzas are delicious and the tuna special over vegetables is excellent, cooked to... More

This was my second visit to this restaurant. I came here last year on the recommendation of our hotel concierge and returned last night as I enjoyed it so much the first time. It is a short walk from our hotel and a couple of blocks up from Grand Central Station - good location. Our server was very pleasant and... More

First of all ask for Marco as your server. He is from Sardinia and provides excellent guidance on the best dishes of the day. Lunch was a light white wine from his island, complimented by a salad and their seafood selection. Dessert I did not order however had a taste of their peach muffin cake (???). End it with a... Awesome service and food. Visited this place several times during our NY trip. Had apps, drinks and dinners here. The service was so good and there is not a bad item on the menu.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
