Good solid Italian

Recommendation from New Yorks best Hotel, The Library, easy walking distance just east of Grand Central prompt pleasant service, not huge serves but tasty, reasonably priced for NYC, would return.

Fortunately we asked about the specials, which were not initially offered by our waitress (who I think was the bartender). In any case, the appetizer special of fresh mozzarella with artichokes was exceptionally fresh and good, and a large portion. We held onto the 'left over' mozz when our entree's were served and smeared it onto the pizza and I... More

This little restaurant was within walking distance from the Hilton and was recommended by the Hilton Doorman, Jose. The food was good and the restaurant clean. I would recommend this place.

Opposite the westin on 42nd street. Loved the ambience. Made very welcome by the staff. Didn't rush us at all. Good menu and wine list. The meats and bread for a sharing starter were very good. We both had a different seafood pasta. Both excellent. Prices very reasonable give the location.

Mediocre Italian. We wanted to find a place near our hotel and this was just across the street. The food is average, and for food of this quality the prices were high. The best dish was a pizza made in their brick oven. The pappardelle with mushrooms was OK, but I've had much better. They have a large wine list,... More

Travelling from Sydney, Australia where we have great Italian food on offer, it was great to find this place with yummy dishes. A waiter with great knowledge of wine was able to help us choose what was best paired to our meal. Overall, a good experience.

This is a welcoming Italian restaurant, very spacious, lovely wooden and roomy tables, and with good Italian fare. But if you want quiet conversation, you will not get it in this restaurant, whether you go there for lunch or dinner...

An ok rest. Ok food overall with the pizza as the highlight. Nice experience with the family overall on a non-busy Tuesday, until the girl at the bar totally gave me an attitude and bittered the experience. Non professional and not service minded, made me give up on order another glass of wine. Won't come back.

I found this busy restaurant and returned for dinner. The menu looks Italian but tastes American. I took fried caramari and tomato sourced pasta. Too large portion and too much cream with little vegetable. They can not do business in Europe but the locals enjoy bith food and atmospher. The price is reasonable in manhattan standard, including wine, mostly from... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
