Good basic breakfast hot and good

We found this spot for breakfast one Sunday am after a over night stay in the city. It was crowded and wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was good and hearty breakfast for a good price. The waitress kept our coffee and water filled. This is a good deal for good food

Ordered pancakes, they were severely undercooked, the filter coffee was not great. Scotty's 2 doors down from Bloom's serves a better greasy spoon type American breakfast.

The owner would not seat us except at a table three inches from the occupied tables either side. No way to have a private conversation over lunch or be comfortable. Empty tables were being warehoused by the window. As their website refers to previous customers as former New York Governor George Pataki and former New York City Mayor Rudolf Guiliani... More

Saw there was a Blooms Jewish Deli on Lex and had to try it. I ate in the London group of Blooms Delis since I could walk and could not believe my luck there was one here. Big disappointment. The waitress did not know what Viennas were... (yes, you can still buy Blooms Viennas in Tesco's) and then got my... More

Typical American diner serving typical American breakfast. You are spoilt for choice and reasonably priced with huge portions of food.

Dropped in here earlier today for a spot of brunch and was amazed to be refused a window table to be given one further back in the restaurant the same size. Within a couple of minutes the same table was given to a couple of suited guys who coincidently matched all the other smartly attired men also seated in the... More

Another classic NYC diner which we visited for breakfast. Extensive menu, always busy, friendly staff and probably the best coffee I had in New York. Recommended

Three of us turned up to Bloom's for breakfast and went away happy with the omelettes and eggs benedict we had there. The staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee (pretty good by diner standards) kept on flowing. Definitely worth considering if you want to escape from the kind of buffet breakfasts beloved by hotels in the area...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
