This place makes having celiac feel normal! You get bread before your meal and can order pasta, pizza and dessert directly off the regular menu! No need to explain the severity of your allergies or the dangers of cross contamination. It is a breath of fresh air! The eggplant ravioli (which is dairy free) was incredibly delicious. I secretly got... More

I chose this restaurant because it caters well for gluten free - and we weren't disappointed! I've found more and more these days that gluten free doesn't always mean good - but in this case it definitely was! Not particularly cheap, but well worth it - the best meal we've had so far in NYC.

We used living social coupon and had a fantastic brunch and great service. We started with mimosa and Bloody Mary and shared a flatbread that was great. We each had a frittata which was a work of art and tasted as good as they looked. They even had some delicious potatoes on top. We had a great experience.

This is a very friendly small restaurant. Sunday evening it was full of local families but they still found a table for us. We opted for the pizzettes which are very tasty, there is a good vegetarian choice on the menu. We ordered two desserts when one would have sufficed, very nice rich chocolate mousse and strawberries. The service was... More

I love Bistango, I can't say enough good things about it. I have celiac and the comfort of being able to eat in a restaurant that knows all about food allergies and takes them seriously is wonderful. But that wouldn't be enough if the food wasn't good and thamkfully the food is excellent. My friends who have eaten here agree... More

I came here for the gluten free pasta dishes which were pretty good. However the price is way too high for the extremely small portions. I came with six people and we had asked a head of time for separate checks, however when the time came our waiter became extremely difficult and refused to split the checks. After we spent... More

We ate early at 6pm during a rain storm, so we had no problem getting a table. The tables are VERY close together, so you feel as if you are part of everyone's conversation. We met a lovely couple from Australia, so it was OK with us, but it could be awkward if you're trying to have a private conversation.... More
