They do things with beef rib here that took me back to my grandma's kitchen 40 years ago! Try the lasagna bolognese if it's available. It is out of this world.

Amazing, attentive service and a family touch. Food is very high quality, with prices to match. Such is life as a celiac...no corner Italian joint for us. They are 100% committed to being allergy friendly (and friendly and welcoming in general) . In a neighborhood where one chef/owner was quoted in the press sneering "people with food allergies should stay... More

Came here to have dinner with three sisters and myself. Seated immediately at a table near the window. We were graciously met by the hostess, made to feel welcome by the waitress and ultimately by the owner Anthony. All food was tasty, prepared well, served at the correct temperature. Could not ask for anything more. You won't go wrong by... More

Before travelling to NYC on holiday from Australia I searched on-line for gluten free restaurants and found Bistango Restaurant on 3rd Ave-just around the corner from where we were staying. I was absolutely delighted to visit twice during our week stay in New York-Anthony and his staff provided wonderful dining experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment. While we ate... More

With my girlfriend having Celiac disease, we are constantly looking for restaurants that accommodate to this. Bistango was recommended to us by the couple we were staying with during our recent vacation to New York. It did not disappoint! The staff was very polite and very knowledgeable. They served bread along with gluten free bread with oil and garlic which... More

Not your usual Italian restaurant. The portions were not huge as you mighty expect. However, they were ample size. The sauces were not raw tomato needing a Tums afterward. A very light Italian sauce. Very pleasant meal in a nice quite restaurant with very good service. A little out of the way from mid town but worth the walk.

We have been remiss in sharing our consistently wonderful experiences at Bistango. We found it a couple years ago when looking for a gluten-free restaurant but oh is it so much more. It's not just for those who must be careful about allergies; everyone who eats with us can't wait to come here because the food is so wonderfully prepared.... More

My daughter who doesn't eat gluten was dyeing for pasta. The pasta here was delicious as was the gluten free bed. My chicken was yummy. The wine was reasonable for NYC. Our female server was very nice even though we were obviously tourists. Yes we had a lovely evening and yes we will be back.

It doesn't matter what section of New York City we visit, we always eat at Bistango. My wife has celiac disease so it is imperative that she eats gluten-free. She not only feels safe eating here, but the food is delicious. Yes, the gluten-free food was delicious. The first question asked by our server was, are there any allergens? They... More

We chose Bistango because one of us was GF. Tonight's specials were really wonderful. Had the minestrone soup which was delicious. Also the seafood pasta dish with mussels, calamari, shrimp and clams was excellent. Other notable dishes were the lamb chops, seabass and salmon. Had a nice Chardonnay which paired nicely with everyone's meal. Great Waite service and very attentive... More
