Description: Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.

We all had different steaks, I had a porterhouse and it was so tender. We ate early and did get in without a reservation but we are told that this is a rare occurrence.

My boyfriend and I have tried many steakhouses but this place has the best steak I have ever tasted. I really liked the sauce they have and I just can't wait to go back. Make sure you make reservations!

If your going to dine here go big or go home, otherwise your not going to get why it's the best. Ordered the porterhouse. that is one big slab of meat and very good. This might sound strange but they had a Heintz Zin from the grapes of Martha's Vinyard. went with that instead of a Cab, (Wine lists is... More

We went to Keens on a Friday night and had according to my husband and son, the BESt at steak they've ever eaten! They kept talking about the sauces the next day.. These men have eaten a lot of meat, so their enthusiasm was real. Restaurant was packed with people coming in to eat when we left at 10:30! Make... More

Top draw steakhouse I came to 2 years ago and nothing has changed still an excellent eatery and steak speciality a definite must. I even think the t bone steak has gone down by 10 dollars since I was last here, but the mash is to die for as per last visit, and really the price compared to a lot... More

This is quite a NYC landmark. You can feel the history of this place when you walk in. The food was excellent. Had the Porterhouse for 2 and we could barley finish it because of the size. Cooked perfectly and you could cut the meat with a fork. The wine list is amazing and the staff knows their stuff. The... More

Probably THE best Prime Rib in NY. Sometimes you need a classic amongst all the trendy places. Especially in the winter this place feels like going home

I loved this Restaurant, crisp linen table cloths, a coat check, lovely friendly staff. Steak very expensive but worth it. sides also expensive. Comprehensive wine list and cocktails. if you fancy a real treat and are a steak lover, this is a must.

It's a very special NYC chop house. Beats Peter Luger, Galleghers, Delmonico, Sparks, (all worth a visit really) etc - to say nothing of the kind of modern places that "deconstruct" your steak... OK - on some level all touristy - but get an old fashion at the bar and soak it in a bit.
