This was our first trip to NYC , we celebrated our "30th" wedding anniversary there. After reading many reviews and looking at all our choices for fine dining. We choose Keens Steakhouse and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED....We had reservations and when we arrived we were promptly seated, they acted like they were anxiously expecting us. We both ordered the filet/lobster... more

My family and I ate here on our recent trip to NYC. I have never had or tasted such amazing steak! It is pricey but is so worth it - the steaks are the biggest I have ever seen. The prime rib, priced around $50, would easily feed 2. The thickness and terndernes of the sirloin was better than even... more

I think it's great that Teddy Roosevelt ate here, but that doesn't make this meat taste better. The famous mutton chop NEEDS the mint jelly, because it lacks its own flavor. The beef is slightly more buttery than usual, likely from the dry aging process, but overall lacks in character. My advice: go to your neighborhood butcher and ask for... more

Good-old NY steak house. Juicy and tasty porter house steak was excellent. Unfortunately, our waiter with Italian accent provided us with inappropriate service. He never came to our table unless he was asked and never pourd wine to our glass. more

Very rustic place. Amazing steaks and great service. Also has a bar menu for a casual meal but equally as nice. more

If you want Trendy Manhattan, you dine at Butter or some other modern weekly hot spot. If you want Old Manhattan, you visit Keens Steakhouse. From the moment you enter this rustic chophouse, you are greeted by a courteous staff and a wooden palace crowned with a ceiling of clay pipes once smoked by legendary celebrities throughout the last century... more

We had reservations for 8 pm on a Friday night, and were seated immediatly. Our server was very polite, and took excellent care of us. Never an empty plate on the table or a glass of water less than half full. The food was exceptional...my prime rib was perfect, and my wifes New York strip was very good as well.... more

As soon as we walked in it didn't give that feeling off over the top place where the food was going to be rubbish it was truly wonderful. The display of al the old wooden pipes on the ceiling and walls a gorgeous chsterfield... more

The food was very good, not outstanding like a Peter Luger's or some other high end Steak places in NYC, but the service was awful. In times like these customer service goes a long way. At Keen's it fell short. We saw our waiter throughout our dinner, but never once did he pour us a glass of wine after the... more
