Good place for a business dinner

We were upstairs for a group dinner (21 people). Service was great, staff was friendly and were right on top of things without intruding. I had the steak, which was cooked to perfection. Started with a salad, which was very interesting, with toasted coconut on it. Finished with the chocolate... read more

Right opposite our hotel - perfect portion size, everything cooked to perfection. We came here for two mornings on the trot for St Patrick's week and the Irish Breakfast was a complete taste sensation. Totally recommended

We had drinks and a quick late night snack here on the snowy first day of spring in NYC. Warm and welcoming environment with good service and a smile. Ordered a small margherita pizza and stuffed mushrooms. Both were quite good. Prices were reasonable, multiple TV's with different games on, long bar, good number of tables and friendly service. That... More

I haven't eaten there, but the bar and staff are great! Excellent midtown location, very close to Times Square, but far enough not to have all the touristy crowd (if you're a tourist like me who doesn't like to hang out with other tourists :)) I've seen this place packed, and been there when I was the only patron. Lovely... More

I ate here on a Friday night. It was in walking distance from the Hilton I was staying in. It was quite busy when I arrived but I managed to get a table. I had a local beer and. Angers, mash and baked beans. This tasted delicious. It was good service, great food and good atmosphere. Recommended.

There must be at least a dozen Irish pubs with a few blocks and after going to several this is certainly one of better ones. The food was good (I had the shepherds pie) and reasonably priced for the area. They have the usual selection of beers for a pub. Service was fine. Though smaller than many of the other... More

When in NYC we usually stay at a hotel in this area, and often have one of our meals at the Old Castle. The food has consistently been delicious (served HOT, which is a pet peeve of mine) and the atmosphere is great. The front dining area is quieter, with the booths in back having the views of sport games... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
