If you know about the history of The Round Table, it's fun to imagine what it must have been like. Order the steak, medium rare, and revel in the past. Great for a pre-theater meal.

I mostly came here for pre-dinner cocktails because I was very underwhelmed by the supposed boutique hotel I was staying at next door but really this place is history. The waiters are of an era and the space is just as old fashion glam as I thought it would be. I go to NYC often, not sure why I haven't... More

We had the most delicious breakfast ever! My husband had an unbelievable omelet and I had the best blueberry pancakes ever. The waiters were so nice. The service was wonderful. It is now one of my favorites in New York!

We very much enjoyed our pre-show dinner there. The pre-fixe menu was lovely and well priced. We did not eat breakfast there but diners looked satisfied although it seemed a bit pricey. Cocktail hour was very popular and there area a variety of food choices to snack on.

To sip wine or martinis where Dorothy Parker and her contemporaries debated literature and politics back in the day is such a treat. Pricey but fun!

I had a shrimp cocktail and the bill was a fortune, and, like others who have reviewed I happened to get a very inattentive waiter. Nevertheless the history here, the beautiful old paneling and the renowned breakfasts may make it worth a visit at this different time of day.

Loved going into this hotel - but should have stopped at just looking around. Decided to have lunch, of course we knew it would be pricy - that wasn't the issue. The service was terrible, our waiter could have cared less, it was nearly impossible to connect with him and we are not demanding types. However - there was a... More

I was meeting a group of college friends who hadn't seen one another in 20+ years, so we took advantage of THE round table at the Algonquin. Had a fabulous evening drinking, eating and catching up. Service was fabulous, though there was a bit of confusion over the split tab. Manager stepped in and worked it all out.

A grow of us went there for a pre-theater dinner and a Sunday brunch. The pre-theater dinner is very reasonably priced ($35 for 3 courses) and the portions were ample. Two of us ordered the chicken offering and were surprised when served two breast portions, pounded very thin, coated and fried. The soup, salad, and desserts were very good, however.... More

had a groupon here so that's why we went. Meals are overpriced and you can get an equal or better cut of meat for much cheaper many other places. I had a NY strip, it had very little fat and was a very good steak but not worth 42$ in my opinion. not a bad place at all but it... More
