Great for late night dining.

This bar is located in the theater district and is open late. So it is perfect if you want to have dinner after a show. The décor is a lot like an old club with leather chairs in the back against library bookshelves. Large variety of beers and a full bar. Food is great. Our group had... read more

What drew me to this place is the interesting menu. I was disappointed as the flavors were extremely average. Ordered the tater tots with cheese and bbq shaved pork, brisket and wild mushroom empanadas and chicken tandoori skewers. The pork was not that tasty at all and the empanadas were bland as well which didn't make sense given the ingredients.... More

Visited here a few days before New Years as a group of 5, it's right off Times Square and has a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly and the service was fast, the drinks came a few minutes after ordering , and the food came quickly also. The portions are huge and very filling and delicious, great quality and value... More

For it's location just off Times Square I wasn't expecting a lot from The Long Room. But it was convenient and not overly crowded on my first visit so I grabbed a bar stool in the back as I was on my own and ordered a Guinness. Always nice to hear a an actual brogue at an Irish pub though... More

The Long Room appears to be a typical Irish pub, but the menu offers a wide array of choices that go beyond typical pub fare. And the quality of the food is outstanding. The Long Room is a comfortable oasis in the heart of a hectic NYC neighborhood.

Worst service ever I've seen in NYC Irish bar ,being in the hospitality industry well traveled over 30 countries can't believe how these people run this business with rude attitude .......as a frequent guest of the Chatwal right next door to this establishment I would make sure to put this on the comments book for the future guests staying at... My husband and I visited early evening on a Friday night. Place was packed. Hostess was able to get us bar chairs with backs and that was truly appreciated. I had spinach and artichoke dip and it was good. My husband had the steak salad and he said it had a lot of steak in it. Restrooms were down stairs... More

Stopped in on Thanksgiving Day. One person had the squash soup and pronounced it tasty. I enjoyed a beer and their meat and cheese board. Its a relaxing spot with a very good beer selection and you can catch a game on TV in the bar while you dine at a hightop. Our waitress was attentive and the meat and... More

Great local bar that is full of New Yorkers - not just tourists as some bars around here are. Late licence, friendly staff, good music. Recommended.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
