Apprehensive when greeted by a thick velvet curtain across the entrance but so welcoming once inside. Log fire, good food and friendly staff.

Just wandering around the city during a holiday wek and looking for something a bit different we wandered into THE LONG ROOM. It was an off hour (3:00 PM) but a few other families were dining so we decided to give it a shot. Beer drinkers will be more than satisfied by the selection, with changing drafts and a solid... Stopped in for a drink with a friend. Arriving just before 5 on a Thursday enables me to get a table, but the place fills up before the show across the street. Decent beer selection, fair prices.

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to grab some food and a cold beer while watching the games. Found the Long Room and the place was perfect. Great selections of beers, both draft and bottles. Food was just as good. My wife had the Pork Chop Reuben and I had a burger. Both were tasty and... More

We are an English family of 3 and were in New York for the first time during Christmas 2014. We were staying in a hotel on Times Square and the local eateries around Broadway were full up with big waiting times for a table for supper. We wandered further afield and came across the Long Room. We could see looking... More

The bartenders were great, even with us only sitting at bar and grabbing a couple beers prior to a show. It was busy, lots of people having dinner too. Prices for beer reasonable for location.

A few blocks east of Times Square, a good spot to take a break from shopping or the theater. Simple but good pub fare are on the order here. I had the pork chop rueben on a pretzel roll. My daughter had the ribs which falling off the bone but drenched in sauce. Fries or salad are the sides which... More

This is very close to my office and a great place for after work drinks with colleagues. The bar food is a step up from your normal pub fair. Great sliders and wings. The beer selection is also very good. I also had lunch here a few days later. Ordered the steak sandwich with the creamed spinach and potato sticks.... More

We had two visits to the Long Room on our recent visit to NY. On both occasions we could say the food was spot on and the service very good. The full Irish was a bit disappointing, redeemed by the sausage . We would definitely recommend, and we would definitely go back to this bar.

Not only did the Long Room have plenty of flat screens to watch the game, but the food was really good too!
