Nice Midtown After Work Bar Experience

Nice after work drop in spot. Causal, business, whatever, it's all welcome. Lively, young crowd, reasonably priced. Burgers are good. We often take the crew here after a job well done. After work it's pretty crowded, especially towards the end of the week, but it's always a good bite and a good... read more

My husband and I had a very tasty and filling grilled chicken salad topped with pistachios! Cosy seating and enjoyable bar staff! Reasonable price and huge portions. Look up at the well designed ceiling! We enjoyed it so much, we returned after theater and had a delicious cheese tray!

I've been to the Long Room several times in July and August and always found it a fantastic experience. The staff are very friendly and the Tuna Salad is brill. I can't wait to return to NYC

We were at this restaurant for a group cocktail evening. The food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. The bar tenders really knew what they were doing!

I met a friend here on a weekday for a quick lunch. Once I pushed past the Times Square crowd, I had a nice lunch. I enjoyed the Sirloin Tips salad that I ordered. Food came out quick, service was good.

The Long Room was introduced to me by friends that used to live in New York. Since then I have visited many times for a drink or a bite to eat. Always good service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We loved this pub, they were very accommodating, right across from our hotel. In winter the fire is on and it makes for a fantastically cosy lunch/evening. Perfect for a few glasses of wine, catching up and chatting. We kept coming back here during our stay.

That's what my husband said. He loved the place. It's a neighborhood bar in the theatre district. We had reservations but didn't seem to need them, although it started to fill up about 7pm. This is not a touristy place, and I can see myself going to this place again when I'm in the area to see a show. The... More

It's a bar atmosphere. Very loud and a bit cramped. Not a lot of comfortable places to sit. But the staff was super friendly and the food was pretty good. It's also open very late so you can go after the theatre without fear that they're about to close. I went twice.

We had been to see Chicago and wanted something to eat on the way home. The Long Room was recommended to us by the barman in another bar. The place was clean (and it was nearly 11pm) and friendly. The choices and the portions were just right for us. My cheese and meats board was delicious. If you are looking... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
