This place is a total ripoff......I went to lunch on a Sunday and ordered a turkey cheese burger and fries...$16 bucks !!!.........both my wife and I also ordered a bowl of chicken rice soup.... $8 bucks per bowl....the soup was terrible...frozen peas and carrots thrown in the soup....now let's talk about how rude the waiters are....I actually heard one waiter... Ben Ash Deli is a few blocks uptown from the Theater District. It's basically a burger joint not unlike TGIF, but awfully expensive. The Burger was good, but it wasn't worth the price. I'd say go some where more reasonable priced or if you want to pay a lot, then go to a decent sit down restaurant.

This has to be one of the worst restaurants in Manhattan, if not the absolute worst! After a long day of walking, 6 friends and I were starving and searching for the next restaurant we saw to eat at! We came across Ben Ash- which was full of people so we chose to go there thinking it would be good... More

We ate our first dinner here, it had been a long day and it was near the hotel. THe food was way overpriced and not that enjoyable. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. The service was poor and they did not seem to care. Will never return and I hope others don't

My husband and I stay in Manhattan for 2 nights twice a year. We've always treated ourselves to matzo brei on our last morning, at either the Carnegie or Stage Delicatessens. Both are overpriced, but we treat ourselves one morning. This time we decided to try Ben Ash. We sat down ordered the matzo brei from the menu, along with... More

We were unable to enjoy he fine service and food, as we were tossed out for ordering only 2 coffees and an order of toast. When i spoke with manager, told him it was embarrassing and insulting ,he was arrogant and could care less. STAY AWAY

After poking our heads into a number of restaurants in the area and not seeing anything appealing, my wife and I made the mistake of taking a table at Ben Ash. Obviously the alarm bells in my head must not have been set properly, because when the server couldn’t tell us what the soup of the day was and would... More

Was staying over the road and was watching this cafe being closed for days to film part of a movie, so naturally, curious to try. Silly curiosity. Underwhelmed by meals. Our waitress was great, and did appear to be working the hardest... The other staff however... Bakery interesting though. Coffee good.
