Good value, but used to be better

Went with my family for dinner, 7 people in all. The appetizers that we ordered were good. My wife had chicken and tomato soup, my brother and I split the beef bacon and veal and duck pate. The entreés could have been better. They used to have a hangar steak on the menu which, at $26, I... read more

Visited Le Marais after a year's gap and was so disappointed. The service was appalling, just one example, my husband asked how a certain dish was done and the waiter replied "cooked"! Very helpful. The main course was served without any cutlery so got cold whilst we tried to get a waiter's attention to bring fresh knives and forks. Food... More

Service beyond terrible. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because it's the lowest rating. I would give this restaurant a big fat zero. The staff is unfriendly and never ask if you need anything. The steak which was supposed to be medium was raw and stringy. The fries tasted like they have been sitting around for a... More

Four stars based on food. Service was 2 stars. Went there after a show on Thursday night. Place was packed at 10 pm. We had a reservation but we ended up being seated at one of the few tables in the bar area. Aside from being lost as far as service, it also sucked as we were seated where hoards... More

We went to Le Marais late and the place was absolutely buzzing. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and the service excellent . This is a meat restaurant.

The place was really packed and I didn't feel the food wowed me but overall it was pleasant and realize that space is so expensive you have to cram people in. I enjoyed my chicken.

Great place to get a standard steak before or after a show. The restaurant is always busy and is open late.

This is one of the better Kosher Restaurants in New York City. They have been doing this for many years and have their game running smoothly. You can expect superior waiter service as well as top notch food. You are getting a French Bistro setting, wood floors etc.. Don't expect Hi end decor.

We told some friends we were going to New York and they recommended Le Marais. So we took their recommendation and were glad we did. We went in the afternoon after visiting the 911 Museum. We found the service very attentive and the selection very good. I ordered the Pepper Steak medium rare and it was delicious. My wife ordered... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
