What a joy to find a little bit of Paris in the middle of Manhattan. Situated vey close to Times Square, this bistro has great food at excellent prices considering the location. We had their Sunday brunch which was a bargain at $25 each. Great service. Great atmosphere. Used by tourists and locals alike.

You always get what you expect at le Marais, great service, excellent food, not too pricey, they have an efficient reservations system too which makes it a snap to plan on the fly, or on your cell phone. Staff are really well trained.

Back for our yearly get together in the spacious upstairs room. Ordering from the $22 prix fixe brunch menu we eschewed steak in favor of chicken sandwiches served with fries, chicken salad and French toast. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and conducive to conversation The soup de jour was an excellent cauliflower puree. The basket of... More

We came to the restaurant with a group of over thirty hungry males for a social/business meeting. We were sat upstairs, which renders it a bit more private, which is a good thing. The food was delicious, but quite expensive. So far the good news. the middle aged female waitress assigned to our table was well aware that being the... More

We were rushed because we found out our theatre tickets were for 7 pm and not 8 when we stopped in here to see if we could eat something quickly. We sat at the bar and ordered a salad nicoisse and the bar tender could not have been nicer. The salad came quickly and was delicious, the service was great,... More

The food isn't the best I've ever had, but Le Marais offers good value. The restaurant, though kosher, fortunately does not have the depressing vibe of most kosher restaurants. Good spot for a family dinner or a business lunch.

A business associate of mine, who is Jewish, made reservations for us at La Marais. They serve Kosher French cuisine in a very nice and spacious setting for NYC. I'm was very impressed! The quality of food and wine exceeded my expectations. We had sliders, beef tartare, Jewish wine, and of course steak! If you're ever in NYC, head to... More

Food and waitstaff are top drawer. Everything they serve is absolutely delightful and delicious. Been there dozens of times, every time we go to New York, and have never been other than highly satisfied. Waiters are helpful, professional and attentive. Kosher under supervision. Hard to imagine anyone dissatisfied. Also only kosher restaurant open after shows in the theater district, so... More

We almost didn't stay as we were moved 4 times to different tables! The first one was squashed in the corner so we rejected it. The second table was fine but the head waiter told us we could not sit there after the server had moved us there! The third table we were given was right under the air conditioning... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
