Good food average service

Repeat visit. As always the food is good and menu is rich. We were at a quiet hour but as always, service was slow. Excellent steak. Will return.

The place would get higher marks if it was clean. Yuck. floors are dirty, bathroom dirty. I'm glad that I didn't look in the kitchen. Food was okay, but did not come as ordered. Service was fair.

I've been there 4 times. Once with my family, another one with 6 friends, another alone and the last one with a big group of 16 people. First 3 times were great. The last one was simply one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant in terms of service. My group and I had an issue regarding... More

have been here many times. Consistent quality and service. Reasonable prices for a kosher steakhouse Noise level is loud when crowded. Upstairs is quieter but the chairs upstairs are the wrong height for the tables.

Been eating here for 20 years. Same high quality of service and delicious steaks, breads & desserts. Excellent service. Always filling the water glasses, maybe too much. Only half block from Marriott Marquis.

The steak au poive was cooked perfectly and the meal was enjoyed by everyone at our table. Great location in the heart of NYC's theater district. If you want a kosher steak in NYC, this is the place to go.

The steaks are always tasty, and the service is good. They have very good appetizers and desserts. Upstairs seating is darker but quieter setting. Downstairs is much brighter and more of an open feel. When going for dinner, you may need a reservation. They are open very late.

If you are in the mood for fabulous cuts of meat, made into delicious steak then Le Marais is the place to go. Last visit we even added steak tartar for appetizer and it was wonderful. Definitely make reservations as it will be busy with locals from 5:30-7:00... it is a favorite place to come before going to a Broadway... More

Had an excellent steak dinner at Le Marias. The 16 oz steak was really tasty, came with fries and a salad which were also good. The staff were also really helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Recommend!

There is a subtle difference between a kosher restaurant and a restaurant that is kosher. Le Marais billed itself as a world class steak restaurant. There is no doubt that a non kosher restaurant would never get aware with the rudeness and arrogance of the front of house staff. The restaurant is at the very least chaotic. On walking in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
