Great location in the theatre district. Delicious Italian. For starters, order appetizers to share. Wonderful food.

Nice spot for some tasty Italian in close proximity to the theater district.Good sections of pastas and pizza. My pasta with figs was especially good.

I brought a party of 6 after the theater (this is on Broadway's restaurant row). My party included a couple who own a restaurant (wife is chef). The house special was outstanding and that is the only thing I would really recommend (crispy calves liver pounded paper thin with crispy onion strings and served with fresh lemon- AMAZING even if... Went to NYC for a girls trip to the us open. Had dinner at orso the evening we arrived. Staff was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. Had the mussels appetizer and pasta bolognese - delish. Nice wine list and desserts as well. Can't wait to return

Our second visit to Orso and it was again outstanding. This time we saw a couple of Broadway actors which made it quite exciting for our family.

Consistently excellent cuisine with daily specials. Dignifed atmosphere/friendly staff. Often frequented by the stars of the theater.

Orso is in the Theatre District about a block from our Broadway musical that evening. We walked from our hotel and read the address numbers as we strolled down the street. We actually passed it by, because the building is painted an unassuming taupe and sits back from the street, with no windows or signs to label it. When we... More

Whether I'm traveling with my husband, friends or my sister, dinner at Orso is a must on every New York itinerary. The menu consistently changes, but what remains constant is the quality of the food, atmosphere and service. We generally reserve for the seating between the pre- and post- theater crowds, and I've never been disappointed. On this visit, my... More

We were there with excellent friends of our who had been there many times and were also disappointed with the service. We were pre-theatre dining and we gave ourselves plenty of time to enjoy a meal before theatre. Well: the lady who serve as a hostess, if I give her this title was not the nicest person around. Our friend... More

$28 for one soft-shelled crab is way of out line. Most places give you 2 or 3. The 4 scallops sitting on the plate in the dinner portion looked lonesome. The $12 salad was in a bowl the size of which you would use to serve Jello to a child. The calmari appetizer was good. The bicotti that came with... More
