Love this Place

For years Orso has been a place we always go to when in NYC. It is cozy with great service. Food is always good and prices are reasonable. Last visit I tried their calves liver. It was the best I have eaten. Most of their menu is Italian and I have never been disappointed in my selection.

The food was only so, so. The service was slow and the food was expensive. 6 of us went to dinner, we all thought it was just average. Should have gone to Fig & Olives.

Came here before our Play on a Thursday night and All I can say is WOW! The food was FABULOUS and service was good. I ordered the Pasta dish called Casarecce that is grilled eggplant, tomato basil, ricotta salta. This pasta is made fresh on the premises daily according to our waiter and let me say this dish was delicious!... More

I stopped in Orso before a matinee without a reservation. I was quickly given a table. I found the service to be very friendly and professional. The restaurant is located in Restaurant row very close to many of the Broadway's theaters. The staff will be sure to get you out in time for your show. I had an arugula salad... More

Ok good. Good service. Very convenient to theater district. Restroom very difficult to get to down long flight of steep stairs. Tables close together. Good place to eat and go and not linger:

Not a very fancy place but the menu changes daily, liter of house Pinot was a great deal with NYC's drink prices. Pizza looked great too. Our only complaint not much in the way of a standard house salad and what was offered was a little too exotic for me and wife.

We received a prompt and friendly greeting and were seated immediately. Service was great - they used a team approach and were attentive but never hovering. Food was excellent. My wife had an arugula salad that was simple but perfect. Her main was a half order of ravioli - good. I had a caprese salad with outstanding Buffalo mozarella and... More

Ever since my ex Chris suggested we go here, lured by the red door, it's been one of my favorites. There is always a good looking crowd. Tables are not bunched up on one another. Food is relatively simple and delicious. Service is good and attentive - even. Someone who isn't assigned to your table will help if needed. On... More

Orso was perfect. right next to Joe Allens another great place. We went @ 1pm on a Weds. of course packed until matinee crowd leaves. by 1:30 when we were seated it had really cleared out and we had a nice quiet lunch. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
