WE NEVER MISS ORSO WHEN IN NEW YORK

We find Orso to have consistently high standards each time we eat there. The calves liver with onions and pancetta is the best, moist and pink and delicious. My husband loves the stuffed quail. We also love the special order pizza bread. In May we had an outstanding pasta made with asparagus... read more

Very nice Italian food in Restaurant Row. Tiny Bennett came in while we were there; seems to be a regular. They even asked what show we were seeing and pointed out that we had made a mistake about the show time! Saved us from missing the first act.

Loved this restaurant recommended by relatives living in New York. Had late dinner after the theatre last night, food delicious and plentiful, wine ( by the glass) good, service attentive and pleasant. Will return to this gem

We always get the artichoke appetizer and it ALWAYS PLEASES!! Fresh and perfectly cooked. We tried the ORSO pizza--nice crust, nothing exceptional, but acceptable. We had the Chicken with Brussel sprouts as our main dish and a side of the GIGLI pasta. The chicken was stellar. Moist, tasty, just amazing. I know, it's only chicken.......but it amazed the taste buds.... More

I had dinner in this restaurant: the food was not bad, but nothing special, nothing to remember at all..... and the atmosphere was a bit boring and old fashion. I was happy to leave this place ....bland food and bland place....

Small gem near the theater district with an Italian flare and diverse menu.If you're looking for spaghetti and meatballs, this ain't the place. The juicy lamb chops were over the top as were my scallops. Great crispy pizza bread too.

Very gracious and attentive staff. Food was excellent. I appreciated the fact that several entrees offered half portions. Typical plates these days are too big for me! I had a wonderful half portion of pasta that was more than enough. Make reservations, the place is small. Also known as an eating venue for Broadway business folks.

I visited here the first time in 15 years, and found that it keeps the same qality of foods, pizza, razzania, cutlets enjoyable, the prices are more reasonable than others in NY.

While in NYC with my daughter recently, Orso was recommended by our hosts at 414 Hotel. Perfect for a quiet dinner after a hectic day of sightseeing. The food was very good, the service attentive. And we did see a celebrity that evening (the later your reservation time the better the odds on the weekends)...I just won't say who! Hint:... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
