We chose to dine at Barbetta before going to see Hedwig with NPH. From the outside, it is terribly understated in relation to the magnificent walk back in time to the early 1900's. The interior decor is very ornate and all of the wait staff are dressed in suits; it was very interesting. OK, the food.... We chose to do... More

Beautiful garden area to dine in. A nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Manhattan. Food is Northern Italian and well prepared from traditional recipes. The staff was a little stuffy for me but that's just my opinion. Very attentive but pretentious.

Wow, what a gem, went there for dinner before our show. Got a table on the garden, being there you forget you are in NYC. We got the Theatre pre-fix dinner menu, out of this world, the food was to die for, the staff was very attentive and helpful with our selections. and the price was not bad at all... More

The outdoor courtyard dining area is very lovely. Quiet and comfortable. The inside is another story....another era to be exact. This restaurant has alot of history and is rightfully proud of it. The interior is very formal, and harkens to an era when people took dining out seriously. The abundance of formally attired waiters should have indicated attentive service, but... More

My daughter and I found this when looking for a pre-theatre dining experience. The history of the restaurant caught my attention and the location was perfect. It is charming! The service is great and the food is equally as good. We dined outside on the patio and it is quiet and comfortable. The menu selection is very good. You have... More

Lovely outdoor garden for the summer months. A rarity in the Theater District. Also, friendly attentive service. But the prices are high for extremely below par food. I had a small bowl of cold minestrone soup, a plate of dry salad greens (no dressing), one flattened piece of cold chicken covered in a paste of mayonnaise and tuna flavoring (can... More

My family of 10 had a fantastic lunch in the garden before a broadway show. The wait staff was extremely attentive to us and made sure we were not rushed. Three ordered the Chicken entree which was beautiful, delicious and not too much for an afternoon meal. Two ordered the beet and mushroom risotto entrée. I would recommend you order... More

The interior and design of the restaurant is nice, yet I was not pleased with the food - I would say it was high value for average food. The service was good though and it is located in a good area.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. Went before a show and the staff makes sure not to rush you but to get you out on time for the performance. I personally did not like the maitre de. I booked this restaurant more than a month in advance and requested outside seating. He said that the outside tables were... More
