Quaint little bistro

We went for dinner before a show. They have a great deal for $39.00, an appetizer, entree and desert with many choices. My wife had pate, I had Caesar salad, both were good. She had coq au vin, I had beef bourginone, both very good. Service was good and friendly. Try it.

Restaurant Row is not the prettiest street in New York, but it is handy if you are theatre bound. So happy we found Le Rivage on Google. Very French Bistro décor, lovely staff, and the 3 course Prixe Fixe Dinner for $39 is the best bargain in New York. There's a huge selection for each course and each of the... More

Had an early dinner here after a matinee. The service was very good, we had a very leisurely dinner. The dinner was fixed priced and included an appetizer, entree and desert. The food was excellent. Would definitely go again when in town.

We had a late lunch-early dinner here yesterday and left quite delighted.....Two of us had the beef bourgenion (spelling?), my husband had the liver, another of our party had the fish and we were all pleased. I did have the mussles for an appetizer and they were okay, our friends had the beet salad which they love....The only negative any... More

A typical French bistro: The food is not haute-cuisine, but that's not what you expect. Only one block from the theatre district, it's $39 three-course pri-fixe dinner is a real bargain. The service was attentive- and mindful of the time (which is important if you are going to a show). Would definitely go back when in that area.

Sauces were not that great for the dishes we had - sauce seemed very similar even though totally different dishes. Sauce was salty. Good value though for the price fixe dinner.

Food only decent. The creme brulee was cold at the bottom and not crunchy enough on the top. Sloppy service, cork in wine.

A fine place with pleasant ambiance for a per theatre lunch.we both had fish as a main course. Other dishes served to neighboring tables looked and smelled good also!

We visited following a Saturday Matinee. My wife and I are foodies and enjoy a nice night out with well-prepared and finely-presented food. We arrived more than an hour early for our reservation but were promptly seated in the nearly empty restaurant. Within 15 minutes, the place was packed. Like most Manhattan restaurants, it was a tight fit, but not... More

The place is very cozy and comfortable. The food is ok, its not great. Portions are generous for pre-fix menu and there are good options to choose from. I ordered muscles and duck with cream desserts. The muscles in my opinion were very good quality and all that extra breading and what else was on it actually killed the taste.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
