We went here on our first trip to New York on the recommendation of a friend and was so glad we did. We went for breakfast first and had an amazing time. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you and the singing was just fantastic. The breakfast we had was tasty and certainly plentiful! It was... More

We just love this little 'hole in the wall' restaurant when we just want to grab a bite and be entertained while doing so in a totally relaxed environ. Food is typical diner, reasonable and the singing waitstaff are usually great multi-taskers, serving and singing at the same time.

I am very disappointed. Being in the restaurant business in a very busy tourist oriented town myself, I am disgusted by the hostess rudeness. Place was half empty and after she was trying to squeeze us between two taken tables and I nicely asked to be seated with a little more room she showed us to an even worse table... More

Great place to go if you like Musical Theatre, singing waiting staff very good. Food very average and the restaurant not very clean. Thick clumps of dust along the floor/railing edge on the upper floor, thick dust over music speakers etc....found some of the waiting staff not very friendly. Wouldn't rush back to Ellen's Stardust Diner.

Truly an experience and so very glad Ellen's was how we spent our last night in NYC. The servers are or have been or want to be in musicals/shows and sing while they serve guests their food/drinks. They're all talented and a couple gave me chills with how amazing their voices sounded. This place is for everyone of all ages.... More

You don't go to this diner for the food - its not the best food I have ever tasted. But you go to this diner to be entertained. The staff are so talented and you just know they are going to be the stars of the future and you saw them there first. They are the hardest working waiting staff... More

The food was good and not overly priced concidering it's right in the heart of the Broadway theater district. The wait staff were very entertaining and talented. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

VENUE AND WAIT: we had to queue outside as it was very busy, and it felt a little bit cramped but i think they really do try and get as many people through the door as they can, as they are so popular (saying that, you don't feel rushed at any time whilst at your table). The layout is great,... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
