Good comfort food, reasonably priced considering the location, while being entertained by your server(s).

This place is so fun and the food is great! The atmosphere is classic and I love live music. I hope the waiters and waitresses who work hard here go far. Go here!!

Our New York tour guide brought us here for breakfast and we loved it! The staff are all auditioned to work here and are all up and coming artists and their voices are incredible! If you love musicals you have to dine here. We went back a few nights later for supper after seeing Wicked on Broadway and we were... More

Singing waiting staff who keep singing when they're pouring drinks or ringing up your bill ! Food comes in heaps with coffee/tea on the refill taps. A must visit in NYC purely for the entertainment value, If going for breakfast, make if before 10:30 or you WILL queue. Be aware, the people standing outside on Broadway are smoking..they're not queuing... More

The Diner has been recommended to us by a friend. First we had to stand in the queue for half an hour and therefore we were very sceptic. But when we got in we were thrilled - waiters are singing famous musical songs during serving people. They are friendly, nice and very fast. Food and drinks are good as well... More

Three of us dined here for dinner this week. I had the Walter Cronkite (Kobe Burger) which was very good. The others had the cheesesteak and the Brooklyn brisket which they said they enjoyed. We all had adult milkshakes. I had the peppermint patty, but would not get the shake next time - the chocolate kept sticking in the narrow... More

We went here following recommendations from several friends who had been. We went prepared to queue to get in, but as it was breakfast time (about 10am) there were no queues and we were seated immediately on the upper level. The food was really tasty, I had blueberry french toast and my husband had the pancakes. The singing was great.... More

Went here for lunch. Food was ok but staff were singing while serving which was great. Downside our waitress could not multi task so things not as good as they could have been. All serving staff round about appeared to be more efficient. Still worth a visit if line not too long.

We first discovered Ellen's on our first trip to the US. The food is tasty, but nothing special, but the atmosphere is fantastic. The singing waiting staff are all fantastic and have brilliant personalities. It's a fun experience and really gets you in the mood for a trip to Broadway!

Well, we arrived late and tired into NYC as a family of 5. Children 6,10, and 15. With limited time we didn't want to just blow off a night so we asked our concierge for a recommendation and off we went. 6 pm on Wednesday night. We arrive, small line outside but get seated almost immediately. The place is hopping!... More
