Went last night for the first time,I will be back. Actually I'm eating my left overs as I type.We started with sushi,it was fresh and delicious. I had teriyaki chicken and tempura. The tempura were 2 large shrimps, sweet potato, squash, and zucchini. Part of the teriyaki included carrots, celery, and peppers, broccoli was also plated.. All was placed on white rice. We also had wine... More

Kodama has been a standby in the theater area for many years. They have take out and sit down dining. The prices are reaonsable - downright cheap for Manhattan - and the quality reliably good with a nice variety of Japanese dishes beyond sushi. The staff is most accommodating and friendly. If you're looking for looking for a place pre... More

By the way, if you are in NYC and do NOT need to be seen or spend big bucks, this hidden off broadway spot is a true gem. We did a theatre fix and had an amazing inexpensive dinner of sushi and some unusual rolls too. But the most amazing thing was the price. We will do it more often... More

Scouted for a good sushi place close to our hotel, near TImes Square and found this place. Don't let yourself be fooled by the "fast-food-joint-style" exterior and the somewhat out-dated interior - the food is delicious! We had sushi & sashimi, both very good. Sushi was exceptionally nice with their trade-mark black rice instead of the regular white rice. Also... More

Wanted to find a good place for sushi while on a day trip and this was a good find. Prompt service and good food. Can't ask for more than that

During our stay in New York (1 week) we have been here three times. My family loved this place. I highly recommend to try their black rice sushis. Very nice Service.

We snuck in here before a show, were lucky to get a table, and ate quickly. So good that we then made reservations to return on another show night. Very friendly service and delicious food. My son knows and loves sushi, and had a terrific meal there, including appetizers and sushi. I had non-sushi appetizers and entree, and I was... More

I've eaten here before when in NYC, and I enjoyed it so much, I came back! The service is always great...I got there after seeing an evening play and they were accomodating even though it was close to closing time. The service is fast and the food is the best! Big servings so you leave full and satisfied! Get the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
