I've eaten here before when in NYC, and I enjoyed it so much, I came back! The service is always great...I got there after seeing an evening play and they were accomodating even though it was close to closing time. The service is fast and the food is the best! Big servings so you leave full and satisfied! Get the... More

They used to give out hand towelettes before taking your order but they no longer do that. New owner and dishes are smaller, but still the most interesting Japanese food.

Great sushi and apparently they have secret black rice, which was very good. That's supposed to be more nutritious than white rice. Service was good and it was right across the street from both my hotel, and the show I was seeing, so that was a bonus.

We went there before a show in a Broadway Theater and was a really good finding. The atmosphere is about average but food was really excellent. We ordered sushi (with black rice, specialty of the house) and sashimi. Really wonderful. Great place if you like japanese and you are in the area.

Delicious sushi, fast and friendly service. The best sushi in midtown as well as a large variety of authentic dishes. Eat there every time I am in NYC. I highly recommend it ! I guarantee you will be back:)

Delicious sushi, reasonable prices and friendly staff make this a great option in the Theater District. While it's always packed, they try hard to be accommodating. We were more than happy to sit at the sushi bar, so were seated immediately. The rolls I ordered were great, but my favorite part of the meal was the sauteed eggplant in sweet... More

This place has been around a long time and needs an update on the decor. There's tape holding the old carpet together and a very uneven floor. The bathrooms are disgusting. The entire place looks worn and dirty. The tables are too crowded. Service is uncaring. Overall, it's not very nice but it's very popular. The food isn't bad and... More

On our recent trip to NYC, Kodama restaurant was recommended to us by someone who used to live in the area. I had the traditional California roll and one of their specialty rolls that had salmon and was fried. Both were outstanding. My husband had the Kinky Boots roll and the Chipolte tuna roll. The freshness of the tuna was... More

This is the 2nd time we have eaten at Kodama before a Broadway show. The first was in 2011, and then a couple of weeks ago. Quality is the same and we enjoyed our dinner. Service can be a little slow, but they are always accommodating and friendly. It is refreshing to have a good sushi restaurant without the NYC... More
