This restaurant might be expensive but worth the visit. The food is unique and excellent. And the service is great. We ate outside on a beautiful night which made the experience that much better.

My sister, granddaughter and I came upon Esca while looking for a place to eat dinner on a Sunday night. We were casually dressed and when we entered, the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We replied "no." and she proceeded to call the manager over, (by the way the restaurant was empty). The manager asked if we would... More

Dined here last night and while the Italian "sashimi" was great but everything else was average at best except the management's absolutely dismal response to a serious incident. While dining I was Hit NOT ONCE BUT TWICE by an umbrella that blew over and ACTUALLY HAD TO BE VERY AGGRESIVE in having it removed. Family next to me was also... More

Food was fantastic. Tried stuffed zucchini blossoms for the first time. This appetizer did not disappoint. Crudos live up to the restaurant's reputation. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Fish was phenomenal. And best of all service was friendly, helpful and really great.

Everything about the restaurant is good to excellent. I just did not like the food. It may have been good in a style that I do not like. The portions were small. The summary says Italian and seafood. However, it is totally edgy; not your Momma's Italian place. The waiter was very pleasant and there was not a problem getting... More

Made a reservation during lunch for out of town family and city friends, was seated in the "wine room" - nice, elegant, and quiet enough to have civilized conversation level. Service is perfect without the expected NYC snobbery one usually finds too often in an establishment of this caliber in NYC. Food is very fresh and the flavors are spot... More

My sister, my daughter and I went to Esca for dinner on a Friday night. We sat outside because the weather was so beautiful. The experience at Esca was fabulous. We ordered the tasting menu and everything we had was absolutely delicious. Yes, the crudo is exceptional. The timing for each plate was perfectly timed. The waiter was fantastic! They... More
