Description: The freshest, most flavorful fish, vegetables and fruits, prepared in the subtlest way and served in an elegant, spacious setting, is why Milo's has become of one of New York's most lauded restaurant. Costas Spiliadis, owner/chef, is continuing the standard of excellence he began in Montreal, where he opened the original Milo’s, now a landmark. Patrons can choose their fish from an abundant market display and watch it swiftly grilled in the open kitchen. Feast on savory, yet simple dishes and enjoy impeccable service - all in classic Greek tradition.

This is by no means a cheap restaurant. The a la carte menu and wines are expensive however, the quality of the food is right up there with flavour and freshness. Unfortunately that is where it stops. The waitstaff are totally inept and difficult to understand due to their second language being English. They poured wine across the table and... More

Light and airy atmosphere yet strangely intimate. Great fish counter and fresh fish choices and amazing salad which i craved for days after. Good service and all in all one of our New York favourites.

My Manhattan friend made a reservation for lunch today in this, one of her favorite restaurants. I see why it is a favorite, it is now mine as well. Yes, it is pricey, but this is New York. They currently have a lunch menu for $25., but with a cocktail and a glass of wine this much more than doubles,... More

Great elegant place, big enough not to sit at your neighbours' table and not too noisy. Most important very good, fresh well prepared fish. We had mezze as starters with a glass of white chardonnay , delicious hummus, tadziki, roasted peppers paste and almond puree followed by grilled sardines for two of us and a griiled seabass. The fish came with... Can get a bit pricey - but you can pick out the actual fish that the chef will prepare for you, that's fun! Side dishes were just ok - service was great. Loud and energetic restaurant. Make sure you have a reservation - it gets very crowded!

Milo's has been one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. Our server, Smaro is always great. Meals are usually great. This was an exception. Our grilled pompanos, (2), came to the table after much delay and tepid. Other dishes of zucchini stack and Greek salad were very good as usual. Dessert of Baklava was good. The noise level in the... On our recent trip to Miami's South Beach we spent an evening at Milos restaurant located on 1st street. Over our two visits to Milos Miami we were extremely impressed with the food, ambiance and the service at this outstanding restaurant. For this reason, upon our return to Manhattan we decided to try Milos on 55th Street to celebrate my... More

Estiatorio Milos on 55th St. between 6 & 7th Avenues is just enchanting. The atmosphere is like being on a Greek island - flowing curtains and large patio umbrellas, sparkling white table clothes and a fresh fish display for you to choose your own dinner. A gorgeous room with very friendly waiters who explained the menu to us so we... More

Dined here on recommendation of a local NY'er who frequents Milos. The fish is exotic (for North Americans) and fresh and has the price tag to match. We felt the fried calamari was tasteless however. The wine list is not as diverse as I'd hoped and with the assistance of our server we selected a wine that was not enjoyable.... More
