Tried breakfast at the cafe. Convenient, diner-type vibe. Started out with getting the order incorrect and moved down from there. Eggs were rubbery, potatoes barely warm, bacon greasy and soggy. Coffee and toast the best parts. Prices OK....pancakes looked good. Too bad I never got mine!

Service was mediocre, given that a lot of restaurants in NYC hire latin/spanish immigrants. The food itself was very good, came in a timely manner and affordable.

Cafe Edison is conveniently located in Edison Hotel; breakfast was always good and service fast. We ate lunch there our first day. Never disappointed.

Cafe Edison has a limited menu unless you want a deli style sandwich. The menu had a decent variety of sandwiches listed under "Sandwich Bar". I had a tuna club that had a layer of tuna and a layer of sliced hard boiled egg with lettuce and tomato. It included a little plastic cup of Cole slaw. My sandwich was... More

Lovely people run this Cafe and I got everything I wanted, even a gorgeous big cup of tea, breakfast was scrummy and the glazed doughnuts were massive and to die for. I stayed at the Edison so was really handy.

I loved this little cafe. The staff were helpful, service was excellent and very fast, prices were reasonable. The coffee was great. Always full of locals which is an indication of quality.

Service is brisk and you are encouraged not to linger. It is a place to eat and go; and there are many people waiting in line to come in. As soon as you are almost finished, the service staff brings you your check with 15% tip added in already, and you pay at the cashier. Cash transactions only. No credit... More

It seems that the waitresses really hated their jobs, something is definitely wrong about this place. They all looked very sad and did not seem to care if the guests was satisfied with their food or not. The unproffesional impression was also supported by the fact that they only accepted cash payment, and no credit/debit card!
