Great value food

We took the advice some people had posted about sharing a selection of appetizers and not getting a main course which worked well. The tzatziki was not as garlicky as we had hoped but was very tasty and the homemade pita that it was served with really good, light and crisp and we got plenty of it... read more

The food was fantastic! John our server was fabulous. Flaming Cheese, Moussaka, Watermelon Feta Salad, Sangria and much more were so delicious!

Nice little restaurant on 9th Avenue. The food is always great. I love the Inopikilia for 2. The staff is friendly. Can't wait to eat here again.

I've been here at least a dozen times over the past ten years. Service is always fast and friendly. They don't rush you out the door no matter how long you linger or what you've ordered. Cheap house wines and enough appetizers to keep you at your table for hours. Can get hot and noisy around the open kitchen.

Ate here with group of travellers. The food was good - some better like the Tzatziki some not so good like the tough beef kabobs. All served family style which was fine. Be forewarned that the one washroom is downstairs and may not be suitable for those with accessibility concerns.

I love this restaurant;it is the best Greek food in New York. The restaurant is quiet usually and the food is diverse and i have never been disappointed. A lot people in the neighborhood order their food take-out, so i like to dine in and enjoy the quiet.

We wouldn't usually eat Greek food anywhere else other than in Greece but thought we would try Uncle Nicks. The food was excellent, the service great and the carafe's of wine very reasonably priced .Highly recommended.

This was our third visit to Uncle Nick's and as usual we were not disappointed. The food is first rate as well as the service. The menu is varied from appetizers to the main course. While they do not have gyro sandwiches they do have a gyro plate which is more than enough food for one person. Would highly recommend... More

In town to watch a Knicks game, found this place near MSG. Food was great, good wine list too; you should definitely try the Greek wines. Really good taramousalata. Wait staff can be a bit more friendly my only negative comment.

Amazing food, friendly atmosphere. Pastitsio was delicious, and the Oktapodaki a wonderful dish, quite hard to find where we live. We will definitely be visiting here again!!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
