Going to Circle in the Square? It's just across the street

We had a lovely comfortable dinner here before a show. We were a party of six, there are some nice fish dishes. The tuna cruda appetizer was fantastic. Have the white chocolate creme brulee..wow. They have nice pasta dishes too. We told the waitress we had a curtain and we were out in plenty of... read more

While visiting NYC we visited Thalia's on three different occasions. We stopped in for drinks on afternoon, had an amazing dinner and then lunched on our last day. Every food choice they serve is exceptional. Tried different entrees this time and loved each one. Especially the squid ink pasta dish. The service is outstanding.

My wife and I loved the restaurant. As soon as we were seated our waiter arrived and immediately asked if we were seeing a show in order to determine our level of priority. When we told then we were not, he relaxed but the service never suffered. He was prompt, our glasses were always full, and we were never want... More

We visited this restaurant after an afternoon show. Very full at 6 p.m. And the servers hit my chair every time they went by even though we moved our table back twice. I ordered steak and at 6 p.m., they were out of steak. While the scallop dish was plated very nicely, I would rather have more vegetables with my... More

Beautiful people along with the bridge and tunnel crowd. They understand the pressure to get you in and out so you make your curtain but you never feel rushed. And the food is quite good! Loved the tuna tartar.

We had been on the Uptown Tourist Bus Tour and hopped off a couple of blocks away looking for somewhere to get out of the cold and have a late lunch. New York streets were very busy with tourists leading up to New Years Eve. By chance we found Thalia. Surprisingly it was not crowded. We found the lunch menu... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
