Let me begin by saying that the service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and made sure that we had an enjoyable experience. My husband also loved his meal of lamb shank and butternut risotto. Where the experience fell short was with my meal. I ordered the highly recommended pork chop. Unfortunately the pork chop was dry, the vegetables... More

A blend of American, Italian and Asian cuisine there is something for everyone to enjoy at Thalia. A personal favorite because of its location, atmosphere and food choices I always return for my favorite dish, the truffle mushroom ravioli and asparagus. The sushi is phenomenal, the tuna burger is so succulent you wont even believe its fish, the burger and... More

Three generations enjoyed this excellent and free-spirited restaurant earlier this month and, except for the noise level from eating at a pre-theater hour, was wonderful. Service took a while because of the hoard of people there but none of us were disappointed when the food came. I knew from a previous visit to get the French fries but our order... More

I AM EXCITED JUST TO SAY I WAS THERE. OMG, THE BEST FUN, FOOD, NYC AS BEST AS I HAD. (OK, Granted, not had a lot) But, if I ever get the chance to be in the Big Apple, I will make it a point to go to Thalias again!

Even though this midtown, very well-decorated restaurant openly offered the NYC Restaurant Week specials, we chose to order from the regular menu. The food was delicious. I had a large portion of (large) PEI mussels in a simply delicious sauce (a great amount of sauce -- which I sopped up with too much bread!) The tasty sauce had a lingering... More

Stopped in after a show and had oysters (1$ each!!!!!), ceviche, and a nice white wine. Great space, great vibe and good service. Oysters are plump and fresh.

We have eaten at Thalia's three times over the years and decided it was worthy of our anniversary dinner this year. We had a wonderful meal, great service and a very relaxing time. We like the windows looking out on busy 8th Avenue.

Italian and Asian food are mixed on this menu and although that seems like an odd combination it works. Very good menu and location. Very near the Gershwin Theatre so if you are going to see Wicked I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We really tried to have an authentic NYC experience and avoid the chain restaurants, but we found that it was nearly impossible with our well-behaved children (ages 9 & 13) along. While Thalia did seat us, we were treated like second class citizens. There was no flexibility in the menu (I've never been to anyplace so rigid...makes me wonder if... More

Four of us went to Thalia on a rainy night because if was close by and after curtain time for Broadway theaters (it's right in the theater district for those going to Broadway shows). The menu has a lot of variety -- sushi, seafood, small plates, pasta, burgers. Three of us had burgers, the fourth had an entree. The burgers... More
