nice dinning place

We went there for dinner on a Monday night and we weren't disappointed. The food was good, well served and midrange prices. The bacon wrapped tenderloin was delicious, I would highly recommend it.

We have been to Thalia about 6 times over the years. The food is good, not spectacular, but it is consistently good. The place and ambiance are excellent -- table-clothed tables on multiple levels, excellent waitress service, etc. My lobster bisque was too salty, though, and it lacked an essential ingredient -- lobster. Not even a few wisps of lobster!... More

We dined here on a Sunday after an afternoon matinee and found this to be a most enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the prix fixe menu with accompanying wine. The wine selections were good, the service very efficient and unobtrusive, and the meal from appetizer to dessert was delicious. I heartily recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is delicious and easily accessible. We had drinks, appetizers, and dessert after a show one night. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The creme brûlée was great as were the oysters.

We have been going to Thalia's for several years now when we are in NYC. It's medium priced, great food and excellent service. A must have are the oysters. Make a reservation on Open Table because they get booked.

I wanted to book the Boathouse for my sister in laws birthday, however as it was over the holidays we could not get in. I asked our concierge for a recommendation & he suggested Thalia. We were not disappointed. We booked for a late lunch and the restaurant was not busy when we arrived but filled up by the time... More

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Three of us had the scallops which were wonderful. My two daughters had the burgers which they loved. They did them plain for them as they do not like a lot on it. I would come back!

First, let me just say that I would advise to have a reservation prior to heading here. This place is not too fancy, but just perfect for a quick gathering with family or friends. This oyster bar has prices that I would consider pretty moderate for NYC standards. The waitress attending us was certainly a super star. She gave us... More

We dined here one fine Saturday morning for Brunch! This restaurant affords the choice of an outdoor seating, which is truly wonderful on a beautiful day to enjoy eating "out!" :) The service was good, and the manager (I wish I had caught his name) was very conscientious of our comfort and pleasant dining experience. He even gave us a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
