Good brunch special - the food is good and it's a nice atmosphere. Been here twice - first time service was much better but it was also less busy. Did not seem like they had enough servers to handle the large pre-show crowd. We ended up really having to rush at the end. I would go again as I do... More

Well, we've been here twice before, for after-theatre drinks. But last night, we wanted something casual for an early meal. Thalia was just perfect! When in the theatre district, this is a great option! The menu is varied with a lot of choices, but not so many it becomes overwhelming. Since we were early, we took advantage of some items... More

Stopped in after a long day traveling and checking in late to the hotel. Despite being pretty full the ladies at the desk made a plan and got us a table. Service was excellent and fast, the oyster excellent and while they didn't have a kids menu they were open to simplify things down for kids - the chef even... More

This place had a very cool Manhattan vibe. You got the feeling that it was a local neighborhood upscale restaurant and not so much of a tourist trap. I had the scallops which were perfectly cooked. My friends had a squash soup they loved. The libations were delicious(martini's). Our waiter was attentive and helpful. I would go back often.

The $1 Raw Oyster Happy Hour (7pm til Closing) sign in the window brought me into this trendy looking restaurant. Located not far from the theaters, there was a mix of locals, tourists like myself, and theater folk (actors and behind-the-scenes workers) here having a late night drink or light meal. The blue points were a little on the small... More

As soon as we sat down for our 5:45 reservation, the waitress asked what time our Broadway show was, and they timed our dinner perfectly so we were not rushed, and were done with time to spare. The food was delicious.... Portion sizes were not huge, but that left room for dessert which was delicious. I highly recommend the chocolate... More

Even though we travel to New York a few times a year, we didn't visit Thalia before. We got a recommendation from a friend who happens to be a chef, and he said: "don't miss this restaurant". It was great advice, and we are thankful for it. I started with Creamy polenta with truffle and wine sauce. It's always nice... More

Between my wife and I we dropped $100 on dinner. That was one plate of sushi, some ravioli, a huge hamburger and a 16 oz draft Guiness. Medium Well in NYC means rare, not tartar, but rare in midwestern language. They beef was also overworked to the point of paste so my wife didn't finish it. The sushi was a... More

At a seminar around the corner, with only an hour for lunch. Timed it just right, arriving at noon and got a table right away. Service prompt and friendly. The pris fixe lunch at $16.95 offered delectable choices and quick decisions, something for everyone, vegetarians included. Plates are imaginative, beautifully presented, and the flavors complex and fresh. Generous portions. Kale... More
