Excellent food in nice surroundings. The kale salad was wonderful. My wife had the pasta special which was loaded with shrimp and mussels. I had the rib eye steak special. The steak was well cooked, tender and seasoned. The portions are big, so there was enough to split between us.

As you well know there are tons of choices in the Theater District for dinner. During a recent visit to NYC we chose Thalia and loved it. Great food, great service, and price was reasonable. We had an 8pm curtain just across the street and were not rushed and thoroughly enjoyed this spot. Try it for sure.

We were four adults for brunch before Sunday matinee. Service was attentive but not rushed or overly solicitous. The beverage included with each dish was a nice touch. I had the bloody Mary, very well spiced and certainly full of alcohol. I ordered the frittata, the dish was served hot, which is always appreciated, but the ingredients were thin and... More

My family and I chose Thalia's for a recent lunch before seeing a show. This is the second time we have eaten there and this time it was as good as the first. The ambience is very pleasant and the service was great. I had the chicken sandwich was very good, but the creme brûlée french toast that another in... More

A good option to Pigalli a block further down 8th Avenue. Food was good, we both had pasta and very tasty. We were directed here by staff in the Pigalli as it stopped serving food at 11pm and Thalia still served up to at least midnight. Service was quick and the restaurant was friendly with nice surroundings. Menu a bit... More

Noisy, but that did not bother me. I was with a big party. The food is always consistent. They usually accomodate us, even at the last minute.

Thalia is suffering an identiy crisis. What was a high end Italian/American restaurant is now an Italian/Sushi/Something restaurant. The food is still good, but confusing. Our server was at best: Missing. We waited 10 minutes to have her take a drink order. She appeared 10 minutes later to take our food order. We actually had to ask another staff member... More

We find ourselves in New York at least two times a year or more for business. Most of the time our business is at the Jacob Javits Convention centre (which is a whole different review) so we often stay in the Theatre district so that we can go to a few shows in the evenings. Thalia is conveniently located on... More

Terrible service and attitude from bar staff at around 17:20 Sunday 24th of August. The girl working at the bar had really bad attitude when a mistake was made with a drinks order. Not a serious thing I really could not have cared less but that type of attitude and service in the service industry is not acceptable.

Quick stop for some sushi & drinks before a night out. Cool interior, good service. Creative drinks. I had the Greenpoint with apples, mint, bison grass vodka & st germaine. Friend had the Garden of Eden with strawberries, basil, lime, spiced rum & soda.
