Go for very good French cuisine near the theater .........

Nicely decorated - you feel you are in France. The appetizer of steak tartare was one of the best I ever had. Sea bass was well presented with a medley of vegetables and a complimentary sauce. Fresh profiteroles! The pastry was not soggy at all as it often is. Reasonably priced.

we were in the hilton garden inn so went here for breakfast. a rather limited buffet. some waiters had eyes for us, others hadn't. we took an australian friend here for a french lunch on saturday but were disappointed because on weekends they only serve brunch at noon, wit a very limited choice.

Some years back we had a very nice dinner here, so we went back recently for lunch. It was disappointing. The place was a beehive! Our waiter was clearly overwhelmed and confused our orders twice. I had a bland salmon club sandwich with a minimum of the advertised avocado in it. It came with a "salad" which apparently means "lettuce"... More

Had brunch here recently with a group. They must have assumed we all wanted the buffet because no servers came to help us until one of us went to the hostess to request service. Then the waitress made a rude comment when I mistakenly said apple juice when ordering the apple cider. In any case the food was really great... More

My husband and I stayed at the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn and our breakfast at Pigalle was included. They have a fabulous breakfast buffet for $21.95. They also have a variety of items on the menu. I ordered the Eggs Benedict ($15) which included home fries and juice. It was delicious. Breakfast is served until 11:30 am. Waiters are harried... More

Pigalle is a very nice restaurant. It had a good host when we arrived, the dood was very good but the waiters took forever to come to the table. The place was not full, actually is was almost empty and they kept talking among themselves in the back of the restaurant and I waited over 15 minutes after I finished... More

Well, my order made me understand how good short ribs can be when prepared correctly and with the best red wine reduction sauce. I could cut them with a fork and the strip of pasta was the right touch. Wonderful food and Great service. A real gem of a French bistro near Times Square. Our concierge at the Doubletree suggested... More

We were staying at the Hilton Garden Hotel for a one night theatre visit. The weather was awful so we decided not to go looking for a restaurant. Pigalle was attached to the hotel so we did not need to venture outside. We both had a peppered steak which was nice and tender. The service was good and staff friendly.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
