I would say probably 80% of time we spent in the restaurant consisted of us sitting around and waiting to be served. The food itself (we went for dinner) was okay - it was kind of bland and definitely not everyone's cup of tea. If you don't mind waiting around for okay tasting 'Parisian' food, they this is a place... More

This brasserie has been one of our favorite places for more than 15 years, they offer the tastiest croque monsieur in town. Other delicious classic dishes (magret de canard) and cocktails (kir royale) as well. Service can be hit or miss here, and sometimes they change the waiter on you without letting you know and this leads to unnecessary confusion... More

I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn that's connected to this restaurant. I had three meals here. First breakfast was an under-cooked omelette with mushy, overcooked potatoes taken from the buffet tray, I'm guessing. Second breakfast was thin, chewy, cold pancakes. A lunch was unremarkable. There are many choices in the area for decent restaurants, which I used for... More

The experience began terribly with a hot mimosa. No way to start a brunch! Asked for a replacement, got back the same thing. No refills for sodas, and had to ask 3 times for water. The service was terrible - saw the waitress twice. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Won't be coming back!

Fast service. Good food. Courteous wait staff. Attractive décor. Had breakfast there every morning and one evening meal with spouse while staying at Hilton Garden Inn. Waiter Marcos was very attentive and morning hostess always made me feel welome.

I stopped in here after arriving late from the airport and it was close to my hotel. The menu looked initeresting and the place had a comfortable setting. The hostess was pleasant but after seating me, no one came to my table. No water, no bread, no waiter for 15 minutes. Several walked past me and it was pretty empty.... More

Pigalle is attached to The Hilton Garden INN on 8th Avenue at 49th. The wait staff has low turn over, multilingual, friendly, knowledgeable. Excellent desserts. Ala carte. Seating can be a little tight if it is crowded.

The restaurant itself is charming. We sat down and ordered drinks and escargot for an appetizer. The server came back to take our dinner order. A little while later our dinner arrived, no appetizer...he forgot to put it in. When asked if we needed anything else we ordered another round of drinks, one came, one did not. You think after... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
