During our last trip to NYC I wanted to try Pigalle but did not have the chance. We made it this trip. Dined there prior to attending a theatre production. We very much enjoyed the experience. It is what I would consider a traditional French Bistro. It was decorated and appointed accordingly. The aesthetics and ambiance were very enjoyable. Perhaps... More

I sent my deepest most heartfelt kudos to whichever Line Cook that crafted utterly perfect Croque Madame .... It was equal - if not better - than 98% of the ones I've eaten in France. Restraint with the Gruyere and Bechamel. Eggs just runny enough and crispy lace around the edges. They used perfect thinly sliced tight crumbed bread. And... More

We have eaten here with four people. Three ordered a steak, medium rear, one was good, the other to raw and the third overcooked. We ordered a glass of wine and there was carafe put next to the glass. You may expect that the waiter pours it at the table for you, no way he did. further, no attention was... More

I've eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food here is always good. We'll come here if we don't know where else to go, or if we just want a good meal. The staff is always attentive and don't try to rush you, but if you have a show to get to, they make sure you are there on... More

Eat here on the first night because it was linked to our hotel and we were trying to stay awake to adjust to the time change. The service was mediocre and functional, but could have been excused if the food had been quality. However, it wasn't, in fact some of it was missing! When we pointed this out it set... More

Felt comfortable on my own, sitting at the bar and having a glass of wine and a dessert. Bartenders were very friendly.

You often see this little brasserie advertised in Playbills, and with good reason. It's tasty, not too expensive, and in the heart of the theatre district. Tell them you have a curtain time, and they'll help get you there. I discovered Pigalle it on my last trip to NYC and loved it, so it was an easy choice the night... More
