Good spot for Pre or Post Theater Bite.

Down-to-earth, honest bistro with satisfying food. Part of the chain of French-influenced spots, each dedicated to a different area of France: this one, obviously, considers itself Parisien, and it's fun, though with its tile floor it can be noisy. Nice selection of wines by the glass, including... read more

We went there for dinner on Saturday night and besides the black label scotch which was very pricy ($30 for 2) and some excessive oil on the salmon, the rest was good, served properly and priced decently. We had, as I was saying, the salmon, lamb and chicken for entrees, crème brulee and some sort of profiterole for dessert.

I got tickets at tkts and had time to kill before my matinee. Spontaneously walked into Pigalle. Ordered chicken caesar salad. The chicken was well seasoned and tender with a French flair. The greens were crisp the cheese fresh and the dressing was not overwhelming. I was a party of one and was seated between 2 tables. Felt a bit... More

We dined early as we had a 7 PM curtain. Many choices for a quick meal and since it was a hot August night we picked salads and items from the brasserie menu. Good onion soup and moules frites (mussels w French fries). Large portions and modest prices. Good bread and butter that was replenished - always key in a... More

Nice, just don't ask for a steak or le burger, they take pleasure by cooking it the French way, with no understanding of meat and total disdain for American cuisine, you have to love that attitude though :)

We ate breakfast here with a party of 8. Everyone had a selection of breakfast items. One of our group ordered the breakfast buffet, which offered some standard items - eggs, sausages, etc but was quite small. My omelette - goats cheese, spinach and onion, was absolutely delicious. Light and fluffy the best I'd had over our 3 day visit.... More

The food was OK, a little slow, and the menu a little pricey and less diverse than we would have liked. Only dined there once.

A typical NYC breakfast place nothing more, nothing less. I had the 3 egg omelet with ham and cheese which was good but not exceptional. The atmosphere was also rather lame. Food was good but not more.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
