Charming decor, handy to the theater

Pigalle is a good restaurant for after the matinee or before the evening performance. A French bistro style with good food. The asparagus soup was terrific! The trout was a bit dry. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was very good. Next time, I'd like to try the charcuterie. Good service.

The food was ok. The service was not so great. The atmosphere is nice. We only ate there once even though it was in our hotel.

Looks lovely but staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than actually serving you. Better bars and restaurants just around the corner.

Had the beef bourgignon - wow - about the best I've had. I specifically came back to this place after trying it a couple years ago. Right near the theaters, so it's a great place to go before or even after. We went when broadway was "dark" - so the place was not even busy. Quiet surroundings so you really... More

Basic breakfast buffet. Good strong coffee. Can be crowded. Great pasta with mussels. Quick service.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Times Square on 8th Avenue. This restaurant is connected and we had good food on a couple of occasions. Good place to have a drink after seeing a Broadway show.

This was the perfect place to eat before going to a matinee show on Broadway. The food was excellent, the price was reasonable, the service was prompt and courteous, and the location was very convenient.

Gave this place a try due to location. Fare is average as is the decor. Still pricy as it's NYC. Look around, you can do better.

Excellent, classic menu at moderate prices. Food and service are always good at this small French Restaurant in the Theater District. This is my frequent pre-theater stop where the food and service are consistently excellent.

It is hard to find real breakfast in NYC when almost all the cafes serve mostly carbs. This one had eggs benedict for starters. I was greeted by a receptionist which gave it a touch of class. However, the waiter was like a gangsta! He approached asking if I was ready to order. After I said my order, he left... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
