French style restaurant with good ambience and food

We were staying at a hotel nearby and eating at a little Italian restaurant nearly next to our hotel. The Pigalle was just across the main road and we thought we would try it one evening. The onion soup was wonderful - very authentic French soup.I had swordfish for my main which was good and... read more

Services slow if in a hurry. Great location near the theater district. Eggs Benedict choices Grand! A bit noisy , but nice French flair, windows to watch the people go by! Best to make a reservation.

We came here on my 40th bday as had passed it a few times. We had the buffet bfast and chose an alcoholic drink to celebrate my bday however I was disappointed as it was Sunday they didn't serve alcohol that early in the morning. The place was very busy and we had a table by the window. The buffet... More

We ate here the night of the Big NYC Storm in January 2016. Yes - it was open! Good service, good food, good wine. It was so good I came back a second time for the Cassoulet - yum. The desserts were delicious - apple strudel and chocolate torte. A busy place on 42nd and 8th streets, you can still... More

We wanted to eat breakfast BEFORE heading out for the day. As Pigalle was inside or hotel, it made sense. I have read reviews about the buffet being pricy, but seriously, that's A LOT of food! Couldn't eat all that so my husband and both had the standard breakfast - eggs, toast, potatoes and a meat. I thought it was... More

I always enjoy my time at Pigalle. Service is friendly and fast. The bread fresh and delicious. The Green Fairy drink is one of my all time faves. Food very good and affordable. Try it.

We were in the Big Apple for a few days recently and came across this by chance. Luckily enough it was also 'Restaurant Week' in New York, so we both are from the set menu. All six items were cooked to perfection, the bread fresh and crunchy, all washed down with a beautiful red wine (recommend by our waitress, neither... More

My daughter and I took my 7 year old granddaughter to dine before an evening Broadway performance. The food was very tasty, and the restaurant had a children's menu that was very good. We plan to return to the restaurant when we see another Broadway show.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
