Great NYC neighborhood pizzeria

We ate at Don Giavanni's on our recent trip to NYC and loved it. The pizza was excellent and a real value financially. The atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly and gave you a true NYC sense and experience.

Nothing good enough to remember. Food way below average. At the end of the day, there are tons of better options nearby. It's just not worth it.

Great food, great atmosphere with reasonable prices. Somewhat crowded however not too long of a wait time. Get seated by the large windows for some scenery. Great wine selection and just a very nice place to relax if you like people. Wait staff was very attentive. I would definitely go back.

We recently went twice to Don Giovanni, which is a couple of blocks off Times Square, nearly opposite the Comfort Inn. Both times for supper - once early evening and once late evening. Each time, the food was excellent, well priced, nicely served and the atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. Watch the pizza crusts being made (thin, crispy, yummy) but... More

Was in the city for a conference and this restauarant is right across from the hotel we stayed at. I have never been to NYC before and was so scared that I wouldn't be able to find somewhere reasonable to eat (heard horror stories about how expensive the chains are in Times Square). This Restauarant saved the day! The Fettucini... More

we were attracted by the décor and proximity to our hotel. we went for a late dinner after theater. the food was very good but the service was lackluster. they didn't seem to care that we were there. appeared to be having their own little party.

Very good food, cool bar drinks, amazing service and so cheap! You should get the Portobello mushrooms appetizer, Caprina pizza (arugula, truffle oil, goat cheese, fig spread and pears) and the Seafood Linguini.

I popped in for a quick dinner, attracted mostly by the prices. The service was OK on the whole. It was initially a tad restrained and distant but I think that was perhaps due to things happening elsewhere as it quickly be same much friendlier about half way through. The restaurant did have quite a good atmosphere. It wasn't too... More

We stayed at the intercontinental at times square and did want to walk far in the cold. Don Giovanni came up as an option and we were not disappointed. Not for black ties but excellent food and service for reasonable $$

The best part of the meal was how nice the servers were. The place itself is a bit outdated, but not that bad. Now here comes the bad. The food is not fresh nor is it very good. You can get the same meal from packaged foods (which is what I think most of it is). The mussels we ordered... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
