Noisy. Bad acoustics. Nice big bowl of hot minestrone, lots of vegetables, but too much celery (for our taste). My wife had spinach salad with mozzarella and crostini. Worst, driest mozzarella ever. Raw garlic on the crostini without warning. When I suggested to the waiter that the raw garlic should be disclosed and the mozzarella should be better, he admonished... More

What a great place to eat inside or out. Great food and service, very reasonable pricing. Lunch or dinner. We have been there three times in three days, two lunches and one dinner. Very peaceful. Would recommend this place for a quite place to eat Italian assorted food.

Good food, friendly and fast service (above average NYC waitress friendliness :-)) and affordable prices makes this place well worth visiting. If the ques outside the "close to Broadway theater restaurants" are too long, just walk two blocks West and you will find a table at Don Giovannies, and get a surprisingly good meal... :-)

Stopped here on a quick trip into the city for an appointment. It is a spectacular summer day and we wanted to be outside. Had Mozzarella Caprese salad and a small margherita pizza. Everything was fresh and well done. Staff was welcoming and service was quick. Nice find right off of crowded Times Square.

A very good pizza joint and reasonably priced in the original Improv comedy club (which is no longer there). NYC is the mecca for thin crust pizza, a opposed to that thick doughy stuff you get in Chicago for example. Almost any pizza place--and there are tons in NYC--is decent, otherwise it'd go out of business in a flash. This... More

The place is very comfy and the environment is nice. The food is nice, nothing phenomenal, but they have good options. The price is fair compared with other Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. And it's really close to the museum.

The restaurant was recommended by a local. Great food with reasonable prices. A mom and pop operation. The pizza with smoked mozzarella was excellent. The egg plant parmigiana very good. The homemade turimisu was a nice finish.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
