We went to lunch at the Delta Grill yesterday with some friends. As usual the place was pretty busy and we were glad we had a reservation. The food is always good, consistent quality and reasonably priced.. We ordered off the brunch menu, which was limited but again, good. The only disappointment was, my home friends were luke warm at... More

We found this place via Yelp search. They were rated pretty good, it was close to where we were, and we love southern food. ATMOSPHERE: It reminds me of an old wooden shack that belongs on a pier. Very charming and cozy. There's a good sized bar with TV's, a separate dining room, and a tiny room that can be... More

I'm not an expert on a Delta cooking, so I cannot comment on whether or not this is great southern cooking. What I can comment on was that we were seated right away, at a quiet table - because we asked, had a great view of the interesting sidewalk traffic on ninth avenue and enjoyed the food. I had the... The restaurant boast of this New Orleans Cajun cuisine but Not.......well I guess if you're not from the South and have never tasted New Orleans Cajun foods then you would assume this was good Cajun foods. Me, being from the South: MS, LA, TX should've known better but I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered a bowl of... More

Pretty good food with a nice atmosphere in a convenient location. There was live music playing during Sunday brunch. It wasn't too crowded and we were able to get a table without reservations. I had the crab cake benedict, delicious. The mac and cheese was OK.

The fried catfish with cajun succotash was fabulous. The breading was light and crispy and the fish was tender and flaky. The succotash had lima beans, corn, red and green peppers, onions, and andouille sausage and perfectly spiced. The fish arrived promptly and steaming hot. The service is typical New York, not attentive but adequate. The drink I had (can't... More

I wish they served smaller portions with appropriately scaled prices. There's so much to try, but such a small tummy to consume everything. Of note, their popcorn crawfish was worth its weight in sauce. The gumbo is the Creole version with okra.

This was one of our family's favorite places to eat while we were in NYC. The outside is scary, but don't let that stop you from going in. The Crawdad poppers were awesome - never had them and glad I tried them. DH ordered the gumbo - I think he only ate 1/2 since I kept tasting. :) Hush puppies... More

Just had the chicken tchopoutolos and it was delicious. My wife and I always love to come to this quaint place with authentic Creole food. Don't pass it up when you are in the big Apple.

I went here for a casual meeting at 6 pm - a killer time to find a restaurant, during the Broadway rush, but the Delta Grill had tables open. The wait staff were all very attentive, bordering on too attentive, and the jumbalya was spicy and excellent. I can't eat sea food so finding a good jumbalya without shrimp is... More
