Gorgeous food, generous portions and great service

We had a superb meal. The bread to start was yummy and it would have been easy to gorge ourselves right from the off! The pasta mains were all beautifully cooked. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly and the sauces very tasty. I would highly recommend the fettuccine with eggplant and ricotta and... read more

A nice dinner with my husband and two sons. The food was good, but not memorable with all of the amazing places in NYC. Good food, good service and appropriate for older children.

Went there for my birthday, some of the best Italian food I have ever had! It rivals the pasta I ate in Rome. I had the Pasta Verde, I couldn't eat it all but kept shoveling it in, it was AMAZING. Salad was creative and delicious too. Plus, they surprised me with Tiramisu. Good value too, I find it difficult... More

The food was authentic and the portions were appropriately sized. The owner is attentive and the small size of the restaurant feels intimate and cozy

Although this is my first review of this restaurant, today I visited for the second time. Both visits were in conjunction with theatre events. Today, it was Brunch/Lunch before a Wednesday matinee, and the prior visit was Dinner after a Sunday matinee. Both times we were promptly seated, did not have reservations, and the service was very good. Today's Brunch... More

The best food for the best price! The staff and owner are awesome. It so nice to have a place close to the theatre district that does take advantage of you when it comes to pricing. Keep up the good job guys!

We were in NYC for a few days and found this gem. We arrived late in the evening and didn't want to walk too far in the 4 degree weather. This restaurant was very close to out hotel. The staff welcomed us even though we were probably their last patrons of the night. The food was fresh, hot and very... More

I stopped in on the way back from the office (I'm visiting from our London office) and was pleasantly surprised. It was semi-full but staff were friendly, attentive and happy! My glass was always full, so can't complain and they attempted to make me my favourite - espresso martini :)

Wonderful, warm atmosphere - feels like a family owned longstanding restaurant - which it is, I think. Lovely scallops and wine was very good. Service was really spotty, though.

Located at 47th & Ninth, this place is convenient to many midtown hotels and the theatre district. Small narrow restaurant with a charming atmosphere. All tables and hard chairs (as opposed to cushion booths.) Long menu with many pasta and entree options. Nice house salad. Warn bread brought to table. My pasta with eggplant was quite yummy. I was with... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
