Brunch at Pietrasanta

The food was authentic and the portions were appropriately sized. The owner is attentive and the small size of the restaurant feels intimate and cozy

The best food for the best price! The staff and owner are awesome. It so nice to have a place close to the theatre district that does take advantage of you when it comes to pricing. Keep up the good job guys!

We were in NYC for a few days and found this gem. We arrived late in the evening and didn't want to walk too far in the 4 degree weather. This restaurant was very close to out hotel. The staff welcomed us even though we were probably their last patrons of the night. The food was fresh, hot and very... More

I stopped in on the way back from the office (I'm visiting from our London office) and was pleasantly surprised. It was semi-full but staff were friendly, attentive and happy! My glass was always full, so can't complain and they attempted to make me my favourite - espresso martini :)

Wonderful, warm atmosphere - feels like a family owned longstanding restaurant - which it is, I think. Lovely scallops and wine was very good. Service was really spotty, though.

Located at 47th & Ninth, this place is convenient to many midtown hotels and the theatre district. Small narrow restaurant with a charming atmosphere. All tables and hard chairs (as opposed to cushion booths.) Long menu with many pasta and entree options. Nice house salad. Warn bread brought to table. My pasta with eggplant was quite yummy. I was with... More

I stopped in Pietrasanta on a cold January night - looking for warmth, pasta and a comfortable place to read my book (on an iPad). At 7:00, the restaurant was empty. The host suggested that perhaps plays were starting earlier that evening; to mitigate the unease I agreed and chose my place to sit. During the course of my evening... More

True European atmosphere. They don't bother you while you eat. They don't rush you. They didn't come to ask what we wanted until our menus were closed. Very relaxing and delicious food.

There ar many Itaian and Italian American restaurants in New Yor, so we expwect quality. The service was not helpful, and the staff were apparently rushed even though there were empty tables, The listed Sauvignon Blanc was not a favorite, so I ordered the unnamed house SB. It was from a very typical California bulk bottling, a Sebastiani second label. Not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
