I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, and loved the quaint atmosphere. It is the epitome of a wonderful little Italian cafe in Manhattan.

We have been dining at Pietrasanta for several years, and have never had a disappointing meal! That's saying a lot! They have been around for a long time, and good food is the reason. Classic Italian food, homemade pasta, wonderful, personal service, you can't ask for more. The pre-theater Prix Fixe menu is terrific both in taste and price! The... More

Lovely and quiet neighborhood open-front Sunday brunch location on a beautiful day. Staffed by my definition of perfect wait staff, attentive, but not disruptive. We enjoyed fresh coffee, veggie and pancetta fritattas, breakfast potatoes, salad and bread. I think it was about $16.50. Everything was great and just what we needed to get us through a long matinee. Close to... More

One of the best in the theater district. Had Carciofini (Artichokes) appetizer and pumpkin and lobster raviolis. ALL DELICIOUS Pasta is all made at restaurant. Piero will take good care of you. You can make reservation.

For disclosure purposes, I'm a former restaurant owner, and I put myself through graduate school waiting tables. Our waiter (Mexican, 30-ish with a striped tie) was unfriendly to the point of rude. He was not busy -- his station was fairly empty. He was not present during the appetizer course. He was totally absent during the entree course. He did... More

Make sure you ask for the priced fixed menu. It's a great deal for under $30. The salad was fresh and the salmon done to perfection. Desserts were fresh and tasty.

We found this restaurant by chance; we were walking by and it looked ok. There was a good menu, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was clean and well maintained. The service was quick but also you felt unhurried. The food was first class, with plenty of dishes to choose from. Highly recommended

This is the second time my husband and I have eaten here on two different trips to NYC. We love it. It is a perfect small Italian restaurant away from the craziness of Times Square. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The Fettuccine Verde is excellent.

We have been coming to Pietrasanta for years... such good food - consistently yummy!!!! It's one of those places that you can go to, knowing you'll get a great meal - fresh pasta and bread. The service is as consistent as the food. Definitely a sure bet!!!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
