Perfect Antidote to Overrated Restaurant Row Tourist Traps

While some fall victim to the hype of famous names, I choose not to be a victim. So when I had tickets to a show earlier this week, I decided to go a little further west to 9th and was glad I did. I really liked this place and it's neighborhood feel. The price fix menu at 27.95 did not... read more

We saw a matinee and an evening show. Decided to try out Pietrasanta. Started our experience with a vodka martini----watery. $12 a piece! We could have had a bottle of wine for that !!! Had some good prosecco, though Lentil soup was delicious--d and I shared a bowl. I asked for salmon with salad greens and broccoli instead of the... More

We were wandering around starving in Manhattan on Saturday night of Christmas weekend , convinced we would land in the right place for a great meal without having to wait for hours. Did we ever!! Old School authentic Italian. Fantastic Service. Small, intimate restaurant. They even made a batch of fantastic Carbonara for my Husband even though it wasn't on... More

We had dinner here two nights in a row. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is great, and the price is really reasonable. What more do you want?

We were in NY for just a couple of days staying in the theatre district and discovered Pietrasanta. They offered home made pasta among other Italian dishes so we had to try it. The first night I had scallops with pasta in lobster sauce - heavenly. It was so good we went back for a second visit and it was... More

Very close to Times Square but food is average. Chicken Parmesan was really good but my pasta was very bland. Also the restaurant was very warm. I would consider going back but would not order the pasta again.

We went there before a show and said we only had 45 minutes. Including salads and a main course, we had an excellent meal and we were done in plenty of time! The atmosphere had a great neighborhood feel and was a combination of friendly and quaint. I definitely recommend it!

This is a tough review, as I did like the food, but the service was not that great. The food was good and fresh, but the night I was there they ran out of bread and the service was difficult as it looked like they only had 2-3 waiters for the restaurant. With that said I would try it again... More

I had a wonderful gnocchi with funghi sauce....loved it! The other pasta dishes were delicious too, like the risotto and the capellini primavera

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
