Great Business Lunch

Six of us had a business lunch here on Feb. 5th. The venue is a small but not uncomfortable. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was very good.

We were in New York during the recent blizzard, and all our plans for Saturday were snowed out, including a matinee show. We had made reservations weeks in advance at Triomphe, party because it was just across the street from our hotel. It is a small restaurant, and quite full, but service was good. We had the feeling that some... More

We all went with the pre-fix meal option. I had an amazing celery soup for a starter. My main was a vegetable risotto it was okay, wish I would have tried something else. They had a wonderful textured gluten free bread and the truffle butter was to die for! The desert was assorted creme brûlée whih is a favorite. Serve... More

We had 5:00 dinner reservations as we were going to the theater at 7:00. The Entrance was through the hotel and then into a small bar. The Restaurant does not open until 5 so we sat at the bar where I had a glass of wine while waiting. The glass was $14.50 and looked like a short pour although they... More

Caviar, fois gras, oysters, champagne. What's not to like. Well done high end delicacies make this a favorite. Small space but not crowded. Good for business lunch or adult dinner. Happily for us it did not appear to cater to children.

During Restaurant Week in NYC I spotted the Triomphe menu. We decided to go and were pleasantly surprised! The room is quite small but very cozy with excellent ambiance. It is bathed in a light warm buttery yellow with a vase of beautiful flowers overlooking the dining room. We lucked out with an end table for two that was relatively... More

This is the restaurant of the Sofitel in NY - great place, excellent decoration, fashionable, and great food. Wine list quite adequate, short but well put together. Go there to eat and travel back to a 1920s civilized atmosphere.

Not my first visit to Triumph, a solid French restaurant attached to the Iroquois hotel. Restaurant week menu is reasonably priced and a great starting point for an insight in to what you might face from the regular menu. Chef knows his business, staff are attentive and on point, atmosphere is typical for an upscale Midtown restaurant - nice job.... More

This small-sized restaurant with a beautifully designed ceiling and walls surpassed my expectations. Unpretentious, elegant and truly "French" service, fine wine selection, and a salmon meal that you won't soon forget. Cannot wait to return there.

Had a reasonable meal here. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about. Celeriac soup to start was fine, as too the hake for the main course. Desert looked great but didn't taste as good as it looked. Baked Alaska was fun to try tho!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
