I used to go to this restaurant frequently when I worked in the city and this evening it seemed like a great alternative to the restaurants my friend and I usually gravitate to. I asked for a particular entree without the cheese. The chef refused. The dish apparently is not prepared all in advance, and he offered no explanation. I... More

Cannot believe how this restaurant has deteriorated...what a huge disappointment...hadn't been in several years, so had high expectations, especially since taking guests...yuck! guacamole served to all tasted like it came out of a can...where is the fresh, chunky lush avocado of past...nice cornbread/black bean chef's treat, same as it was way back then and this time, cornbread a bit thick... This place has a contemporary Mexican food with an interesting twist both in presentation and ingredients. The good news is that it works very well! Go for the frozen margarita to start the meal on the right side, and all the dishes we tried were very good.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The service was great and the meals were brought out quickly. We loved the décor and warm feel of the place. Would highly recommend you enjoy a meal here if you are in New York.

I followed the recommendation for three courses given by the Rough Guide and I was very happy with the selection. The amount of food was just right and the Margarita (frozen) was superb

Went to the one on 9th Ave & W 39th St New York, NY 10018. Had fabulous food and drinks (unlimited mimosas for only $9 during breakfast). Great stop before seeing a show!

We loved recent stay in Hell's Kitchen. What a vibrant neighbourhood and easily walkable to Chelsea, Times Square, Central Park, etc. The abundant bars, restaurants and theatres are great.. So is catching the sunset while sitting at the edge of the Hudson. Lovely.

I read the reviews before heading over to this restaurant and thought I'd give it a try. I like they give you free corn bread triangles with black bean dip.. it was really good! I refrained from licking the bowl. haha. For dinner, I had the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass with Grilled Chayote, Sweet Plantain Puree, and Salsa Verde.... More

I go to NYC several times a year. Tried Hells Kitchen last year when staying on the West Side near Javits. Liked it a lot last time--even more this time. Convinced some business associates we should go there (a longer walk than they wanted), but were all glad we went. Casual, friendly, great service and terrific food. Ate at the... More
