For the price, this place was a disappointment. It's a very nice space and an interesting menu. Some of the entrees are less than a full portion. I guess that's how they sell appetizers and desserts. BTW, neither the name nor the decor indicate it's a Mexican restaurant, which it is. Regional Mexican cuisine.

The door hostess was totally without personality and we thought we might be in for a long night. But the server was on the spot and the food was very good. We liked the casual vibe and the ability to have a conversation without ambient noise (often hard to do in new York). Prices were reasonable. We'd put this in... More

Had a great meal here a few nights ago. Starter of the pork 'spring rolls' was delicious and i also had the cod tarlets as a main! They were to die for although extremely spicy. The service at this restaurant i thought wasn't as good as it should of been considering the amount we had spent here. As soon as... More

I have been to Hell's Kitchen several times over the past few years. My friends and I really enjoy the food and the delicious home made margaritas. They gave a margarita with a candle in it on my birthday! The service is efficient and quick which is great as it is close to the theatre district and they get you... More

Was taken there by a friend for an after-theater meal, and was very pleasantly surprised--I'm not a big fan of Mexican food, but the food here was very well prepared and delicious. I had a wonderful seared tuna appetizer, followed by great fish (sea bass) tacos. Dessert was a creative bread pudding with ice cream. Nice selection of wines by... More

Went in for dinner after a broadway show. They share the bathroom with the bar next door. Music is loud, so dining here was like dining at the bar next door - hard to have a conversation since the music is turned up loud. Food - just okay. Salad was blah, pizza was just okay, but nothing to rave about.... More

Found this by chance and though I agree the music wasn't quiet the food was excellent and we had a very good experience. I would certainly drop in another time if we're ever back in Manhattan.

This is not your typical mexican restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday before going to see Wicked. The service was great, food was even better, looking like masterpieces on our plates and taste was off the charts incredible. Everything was so fresh from the homemade guacamole to the birthday desserts . We liked it so much, we bought a gift... More

We decided to try Hell's Kitchen as it was a short walk from our hotel (Holiday Inn Express Times Square). Looking from the street there appeared to be small quiet candlelit tables . Once in the door we were blasted with very loud music. We ordered drinks and quickly placed our orders for our food. After sitting and watching the... More

Arrived for our first evening in NYC...decided to go for dinner and walked into to his place which looked very smart and cosy....we had not made a reservation but the friendly hostess said that she would get us a table sorted within half an hour...which she did. Lovely mexican themed food....served by very polite and attentive staff. We could not... More
