We quickly felt like locals -Thai food -Amy's Bread -the Amish Market -and Rudy's for cheap beer and free hot dogs! Plus just blocks from Time Square and Broadway -great area to stay!

Walking from our hotel along 9th Avenue, we passed many dodgy looking dives before we came upon Hell's Kitchen. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. We ordered Margueritas and beers which arrived speedily with a complimentary appetiser. For mains we ordered seared tuna (superb!) shrimp (tasty) salmon (beautiful!) and tacos (yummy!). All the dishes were beautifully presented and hot.... More

aybe its good, maybe not. Never got to try the food since we called at 6:20pm to find out if there would be a wait for two people as we were walking towards the restaurant. We were told that there were no tables available but we could order and sit at the bar or we could show up at 7pm... More

Two words... Queso Fundido!!! Very tasty starter, saw a photo of it on TripAdvisor and glad we took a chance of getting in on a busy Saturday night... had to sit at the bar, but the food was worth it! Will definitely return when we are back in NYC!!!

I've been eating at Hell's Kitchen for many, many years & should have written a review ages ago, but better late than never. There are TONS of Mexican restaurants in Midtown 9th Avenue, but this is the BEST for high-end 'cuisine'. The chef is AMAZING & seasonally changes the menu. My partner & I are regulars and have come to... More

Our guide book recommended this restaurant within the area that its located, so prior to our trip we had looked it up here and decided to go. We arrived early evening to see the places already busy which was a good sign. We were seated immediately and not rushed to make our decisions. The portion sizes were good - not... More

For the price, this place was a disappointment. It's a very nice space and an interesting menu. Some of the entrees are less than a full portion. I guess that's how they sell appetizers and desserts. BTW, neither the name nor the decor indicate it's a Mexican restaurant, which it is. Regional Mexican cuisine.

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
