Found this by chance and though I agree the music wasn't quiet the food was excellent and we had a very good experience. I would certainly drop in another time if we're ever back in Manhattan.

This is not your typical mexican restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday before going to see Wicked. The service was great, food was even better, looking like masterpieces on our plates and taste was off the charts incredible. Everything was so fresh from the homemade guacamole to the birthday desserts . We liked it so much, we bought a gift... More

We decided to try Hell's Kitchen as it was a short walk from our hotel (Holiday Inn Express Times Square). Looking from the street there appeared to be small quiet candlelit tables . Once in the door we were blasted with very loud music. We ordered drinks and quickly placed our orders for our food. After sitting and watching the... More

Arrived for our first evening in NYC...decided to go for dinner and walked into to his place which looked very smart and cosy....we had not made a reservation but the friendly hostess said that she would get us a table sorted within half an hour...which she did. Lovely mexican themed food....served by very polite and attentive staff. We could not... More

We loved the food at this restaurant and the décor and staff were wonderful. Everything was fresh and no one had any complaints. Loved having such a great place within walking distance.

We left it a bit late to choose somewhere for eating out on our Saturday night stay in NYC. Stumbled across a few mixed reviews of this place but there was enough there to keep me interested to pay a visit. Stumbled across is a good description as it took us a good 20 mins to find the place even... More

Sat at the bar as I was dining alone the evening before business started ... Very friendly staff. Great food recommends and after my order, the food was delivered with beautiful presentation. Well seasoned but not overly so, just enough to make each dish interesting and memorable. Portions were "right" (for me) but some might think on the small side.... More

We did not reserve for dinner, which was a bit of mistake as it is on the edge of the theater district and we were going to the theater. But there was room at the bar, which may well have increased our pleasure in the meal. The bartender recommended both drinks and food. I had the sorel caipirinha, a delicious... More

We visited Hell's Kitchen twice during a two-week visit to NYC in September. It was one of our "neighbourhood" restaurants with interesting food and very good service. It doesn't look like much from the outside but is quite appealing after walking past many places with staff vying for your attention and patronage. The food is delicious, the portions generous without... More

We took a chance on this one and it paid off! Small space, but decor is stylish and comfortable. Margaritas are made with fresh juices & are outstanding. We had the guacamole, shrimp taco & a chicken quesadilla...even though our server liked other dishes better. They were both fabulous. Fresh, great flavors, nicely sized and unique. Not your typical "Mexican"... More
