Went here with my mother for lunch and the atmosphere is second to none! They have fresh flowers all over the place which adds a refreshing spring like flavor, well sought after in the winter. The food was very good and service was excellent. The staff is extremely attentive but not obtrusive. The food is prepared with excellence and is delicate... More

From the moment you enter you feel as you are in Paris....the flowers, and the baroque atmosphere scream quiet elegance. The service is formal ,quiet and unrelenting in an understated manner. The food is classic French, focused on a limited range of offerings. I am always leery of huge menu's. In winter, a table upstairs by the fire is recommended.... More

I've been here about ten years ago and it was my favorite restaurant then. I wanted to see if they still had it. The latest we could get in was 6pm. We were greeted by Phillipe. He brought us to the highest seat in the house. It was beautiful up there high on a perch. They must spend 10k a... More

We had a wonderful evening at La Grenouille which seems to be the HQ for elegant French people to dine in style. The decoration, particularly the flower arrangements by the owner are stunning and the service is world class, so was the food and wine suggestion, We definitively will be back!

We came here having seen the pre theatre menu and booked on that basis. The service was very good, and they were very gracious that I didn't have a jacket with me, allowing me to borrow one from them. The food was great. We had a bit of a shock when we saw the menu because it was very different... More

The food and the service are exceptional. They make you feel special even if you're not a regular customer.I had the frog legs and my friend had the Dover sole. Both were perfection personified. Save room for the dessert. My favorite is the floating island but the soufflé comes a close second.

I proposed to my girlfriend during the day and had booked this restaurant as a fail safe incase I bottled it so could do it there. It wouldn't have been out of place - this restaurant was absolutely fantastic in every way. We sat upstairs in the ultra cozy area next to a roaring fire. The decor was fantastic, fresh... More

Yes walking into this place with a flashback to the seventies eighties. I want to say out front in the food is good. The service is extremely stuffy. They did not roll with the time. Nor did they update the style of cooking. Even in Paris or all of France they have modernized the French cuisine. New techniques different ways... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
