Walked in at 2:00 PM on a Saturday Afternoon after visiting MOMA nearby, hoping we would make it before lunch ended at 2:30. Even though we had no reservations,We were treated like royalty from the second we walked through the door. Beautiful fresh flowers the ambiance of the restaurant was just the calm we needed after touring NYC after 2... More

Consistently great, it is one of the better restaurants in New York. The room is beautiful with massive fresh flowers daily. The service is top notch as you would expect. The food is fantastic. Try the split pea soup and the roasted chicken. Fabulous.

My first time back here in 10 years. Sometimes when you return to a great experience after many years, the experience was greater in retrospect than in the present. Not so here. The experience last night was so better than I remembered. Like a fine wine. The salmon tartare was awesome, the sea bass was the best I have ever... More

Extraordinary ambience accompanied by a very well rehearsed, polished, and choreographic staff. My dinner guest was complimentary of the each course (inclined to believe she didn't want to offend, but she's not the disingenuous type), I was not. My servings, in their order, were average, abominable (unforgivably overcooked), and, gratefully, redeemed by the desert souffles. Pity, my journey for the... More

The light, the flowers, the ambience, are surpassed only by the food and the je ne c'est quoi -- everyone enjoys themselves here!

This is one of my favorite places to dine in the city! The food is outstanding! The wait staff is wonderful! The atmosphere is tops! From the flowers on the table, to the music, to the dress of the customers, this is really first class! This is French dining at its best!

We just returned home from dinner at La Grenouille. The flowers were amazing set pieces -- Roses, Ranunculus, Queen Ann's Lace and berry laden branches in pinks and reds. The food was subtle and highlighted great ingredients. Mustard sauce accompanying shaved asparagus to start was perfection. Snapper tartare was delicious. Cold salad array was also delightful. The oxtail main course... More

As posh as posh comes. The place to sport your Berkins, quilted Chanel's, or Givenchy's. A prime example of how a traditional French restaurant and meal experience should be. Their attention to detail surpasses any restaurant experience I have ever had. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by a door man who ensured we never had to touch... More
