Good Solid Irish Food

we enjoyed the turkey burger ad shepherds pies plus a couple of drinks ($45 total) and even when we found a small problem with one dish they were very attentive and immediately resolved the issue. Thanks guys - good service is when something goes wrong and its corrected fast and well

After a long day of travel and waiting to check into the Sanctuary hotel, we wanted to stretch our legs. It was about lunchtime so we walked outside and found Langan's, almost next door. Food, drinks and service were terrific in this clean little pub. We were back on our last day before heading to the airport and had the... More

A few doors from our hotel Ordered steak in Guiness sauce which was ok but potatoes were under cooked. They were replaced but by the time that they took I had almost finished most of my dinner

I gave another review of an Irish Pub where the service was appalling, this pub was the exact opposite, the barstaff were friendly, attentive and spoke American albeit with a soft Irish accent. The pint of Stout (Guinness) was perfectly poured and tasted refreshingly like a pint at home.the Burgers we had were big and tasty. From one Cavan man to another,... I have eaten here now 3 times and can say that this has been consistently the best of the dozens of Irish Pub establishments in NYC with excellent wait staff and a comfortable and cozy dining room. There is, or course, the traditional long bar room at the entrance and a smaller dining room with high table & chairs available... More

Had the corned beef, cabbage and potatoes here which was huge and good value - it was practically a half a cabbage on the plate. Beef stew was good too, average apple pie. Apple pie would've been better served warm. Friendly staff

I met family here for lunch. If you are a tourist and looking for a non-chain spot convenient to Times Square I guess it is ok. I grew up in the area and know that it can be much better. The food was fine. Not great, not terrible, just fine. Prices prove that you are paying for the location more... More

We just loved the food - we were in New York for St. Patrick's Day and was disappointed that we could not go there for dinner in the evening till very late. So my husband took me there for our last lunch.

I'd been there on a weekend. Have lot of drinking options. Good service. Interactive wait staff. Though I couldn't find the options in food much. Opens until 4:00AM on weekends. Can't say on the weekdays. Live band performance starts at 22:00 hrs

Not really fitting the Irish fare bill but the food is of a good quality served in decent surroundings. Bar is noisy but the restaurant area is a lot quieter. Burgers were of a good standard and portions more than enough to fill a hungry appetite.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
